☕✨ Simple, powerful, and warming from the inside out.
After listening to Simon Mills’ conversation with Steven Bartlett, I’ve started my mornings with a daily ginger and cinnamon tea, and it’s quickly become one of my favourite rituals. 🌿
For those who don’t know, Simon Mills is a world-renowned medical herbalist and one of the pioneers of modern herbal medicine in the UK. His insights into how the body communicates through warmth, energy, and circulation really resonated with us.
With winter coming, this little blend has been the perfect addition to my routine, something that helps me feel centred, calm, and set up for the day ahead. ❄️💛
Simon talks about how when you start to feel cold or even catch a cold, it’s your body’s way of signalling that it needs to be warmed up, not just on the outside, but from within. 💫
That’s where ginger and cinnamon come in:
🌶️ Ginger (especially heated) boosts circulation, supports digestion, eases inflammation, and helps the gut stay calm and strong.
🌸 Cinnamon balances blood sugar, stabilises energy, and delivers powerful antioxidants that support immune and cellular health.
Together, they create a cup that’s soothing, grounding, and deeply nourishing, especially as the temperatures drop. 💚
I’ve really enjoyed this daily ritual, it’s simple, natural, and a reminder to listen to what your body’s asking for.
✨ Try it yourself and let me know what you think; just a thumb sized amount of ginger, a pinch of cinnamon, and hot water.
Sometimes, the simplest things make the biggest difference. 🌿
