Sooo it’s about time we introduced a bit about us, and how we have come to form TJ physio…and why not have a headshot so you can put a face to a name too📸
Sooo just a little bit about me…
I’m Jaz Tyler, the T from TJ physio!
From the ages of 10 to 16 I was a competitive gymnast training five times a week, which means that I saw my fair share of injuries. I think this, as well as a passion to help others, is where my inspiration for physio began! I did a lot of shadowing other physios, studied hard through school, and then in 2017 made my way to Sheffield Hallam University. In 2020 I graduated with as a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy.
I started working in the NHS straight after graduating, and worked on the frontline during the covid pandemic. Myself and Izzy started within the same week and worked as junior physios together. It was at this time we talked about the idea of creating our own private physio business, when we had developed our skills enough.
As junior physiotherapists we each rotated around different specialties. I spent time working in surgery, ICU, paediatrics/musculoskeletal, stroke rehabilitation, and orthopaedics. Then in early 2022 I secured a role as a NHS senior physiotherapist in orthopaedics which includes ward work and an outpatient clinic too. I am still currently working in this role full time.
With multiple years of experience, myself and Izzy have now fulfilled our dream of creating our very own private physiotherapy partnership, whilst also continuing our work in the NHS. We both look forward to using our knowledge and skills to help you to achieve your physio goals, rehabilitate from injuries, manage an ongoing condition, or help to prevent future injury.
I’m very proud to be a part of TJ Physiotherapy and look forward to all that the future has to offer🤍
