Leaving a Job You Love (Or Once Did):
Grief and Growth Can Coexist, even when it’s the right thing to do for you.
Leaving a job, even when it’s the right decision, can feel a lot like grief.
Not because you’re making the wrong choice, but because something is ending.
You can feel conflicted in your decision.
That’s natural.
You might miss the people.
The version of yourself that grew there.
The little routines that made the days feel full.
Even the parts you used to complain about — they suddenly feel softer in hindsight.
There’s a bittersweetness in knowing you’ve outgrown something while still mourning what it meant to you.
It’s okay to feel sad. To cry. To doubt.
To hold both gratitude and grief in the same breath. You’re allowed to feel that. Don’t suppress it. It’s Personal growth.
You can outgrow something you still care about. Grieving a job doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful.
It doesn’t mean you made a mistake.
It just means you cared.
This is closure. This is growth.. This is you choosing yourself, even when it’s hard.
Let yourself feel it all. Honor what it was. Then keep walking — gently, bravely — toward what’s next.
It’s ok to let go, Because even when something ends, you don’t.
And your story is far from over.
