I'm thinking of organising a meet up for autistic people in or around the lincoln/Sleaford area. Would anyone be interested in attending?

I've found so many people with asd feel lonely or isolated. Thought it'd be nice to get people together for a casual meet up somewhere central and easy to access...

People have asked me why I want to set up this group. This is why....

1 in 4 people with a learning disability say they don’t have any friends.

84% of parents/carers think the person they care for is lonely

3% of people with learning disabilities live as part of a couple compared to 70% of the general population

I believe noone should feel lonely or isolated regardless of what additional support you need. Everyone has the right to feel included, everyone has the right to feel they belong and everyone has the right to find love if this is what they want.

I want to create a fun, safe community for everyone to belong to and feel they can be themselves and I'd like to offer this to as many people as i can and help them in whatever way they feel they need supporting!!

That is my mission......

Jigsaw is a fun, safe place for anyone over the age of 18, with Autism and/or a Learning Disability, to meet up with other people in their area to help reduce social isolation.

We support people who are looking to form new friendships to those looking to find a healthy loving relationship.

This can be done either online or at one of our social events that'll be happening across the Lincolnshire area.
