Today was our first Saturday Yoga class inspired by the natural wisdom of phototropism—the way plants and trees instinctively move toward the light. In the stillness of the morning, each movement became a gentle reminder of that same inner pull within all living things: the desire to grow, to reach, to turn toward what nourishes.

Just as trees stretch through shadow to find the sun, the practice invited a turning inward—acknowledging the darker spaces within and allowing them to be transformed by presence and intention.

After the final savasana, the transition into opening the wellbeing room felt seamless.

The space, now alive with calm energy, welcomed healing and massage as natural extensions of the morning’s practice. The same spirit of leaning toward light continued—through touch, through stillness, through care.
It was a morning of connection: to each other, to self, and to the quiet radiance that grows when movement and healing intertwine.

Flowing, Sat Narayan
Tonight was a deep dive into the sacral chakra, the energy centre of creativity, flow, and emotional balance. Submerged in the element of water, the practice invited a softening into movement, a surrender to rhythm, and a trust in the currents that carry us.

Through gentle kriyas and fluid postures, the body was guided into a state of openness, releasing tension and inviting a sense of ease. The mantra Sat Narayan became our anchor, a sound current that reminded us of the eternal truth of flow, protection, and peace. As the voices merged in chant, there was a palpable shift—like a river finding its course, each person settling into their own natural rhythm while connected to the collective stream.

The sacral chakra asks for trust in life’s unfolding, for the courage to feel deeply, and for the willingness to let go of rigidity. In the stillness after movement, the water element revealed itself not only as fluidity but also as depth—an invitation to rest in the vastness of inner being.

The class closed with a sense of renewal, as if the waters within had been stirred, cleansed, and set flowing once more. The mantra lingered, a reminder that peace is not found in holding on, but in allowing life to move through us with grace. May the waters of creativity, joy, and connection continue to flow freely in the days ahead.

The next class is tomorrow morning 9.15am-10.15am there is still space if you would like to join us, the class will focus on light, dark & love.

One of the greatest benefits of practicing Yoga with a community is the shared energy and encouragement that arises in a group setting. The collective presence of others can inspire motivation, deepen commitment, and help sustain a regular practice. Each person brings their own energy and perspective, contributing to a supportive and uplifting environment.

Knowing that others are showing up alongside you can make it easier to maintain a routine and stay engaged, even on days when motivation is low. The bonds formed through shared practice often lead to meaningful friendships.

Practicing Yoga together creates opportunities for learning and growth. Observing others, sharing experiences, and receiving guidance from teachers and peers can expand understanding and inspire new insights. The group dynamic encourages openness, compassion, and a willingness to support one another on the journey.

In the stillness of a quiet yoga practice, deep listening becomes a powerful tool for self-awareness and transformation. Sitting in silence offers a rare opportunity to turn inward, tuning into the subtle messages of the body, mind, and breath.

Deep listening in Yoga is more than simply hearing external sounds; it is an attentive presence to the inner landscape. This practice invites observation without judgment, allowing thoughts, sensations, and emotions to arise and pass with gentle curiosity. By listening deeply, it becomes possible to recognise patterns, release tension, and respond to the body’s true needs.

This attentive awareness inspires a sense of connection and compassion, both for oneself and for others. It encourages patience, acceptance, and a willingness to be present with whatever arises. Through deep listening, the practice of yoga moves beyond physical postures, becoming a journey of inner exploration and understanding.

Ultimately, deep listening in quiet moments cultivates clarity, peace, and a profound sense of belonging within oneself. It is in these moments of stillness that the wisdom of the body and heart can be truly heard, guiding the way toward greater balance and wellbeing.

A deep connection to nature has always been a source of grounding and inspiration, especially when reflecting on the way trees communicate and support each other through mycorrhizal networks—the intricate web of roots and fungi beneath the forest floor.

This natural interconnectedness mirrors the essence of Yoga practice. On the mat, yoga invites a sense of unity—within oneself, with others, and with the world. Just as trees are linked beneath the surface, Yoga reveals the subtle connections between breath, body, mind, and spirit. Practicing in a group, there is a shared energy and silent support, much like the unseen bonds in a forest.

Yoga encourages the recognition that everyone is part of something larger, woven into the fabric of life alongside all living beings. This awareness inspires a sense of belonging, both in the natural world and within the yoga community. Embracing these connections brings comfort, strength, and a deeper understanding that, like the trees, everyone is supported and valued, even in ways that may not always be visible.

My deep love of theology has always been at the heart of my personal and professional journey. Exploring the wisdom found in spiritual texts, philosophies, and traditions from around the world has enriched not only my understanding of life but also the way I approach teaching Yoga.

I feel a sense of wonder and curiosity about the mysteries of existence, encouraging a search for meaning that goes beyond the surface. This exploration inspires each Yoga class, infusing it with a spirit of inquiry, reverence, and openness. The teachings of various faiths and philosophies remind that Yoga is more than physical movement—it is a path toward unity, compassion, and self-discovery.

The path of Yoga has taken me on a remarkable journey across continents, cultures, and communities, each experience deepening my understanding and connection to this ancient practice.

It began in the lush rainforests of Costa Rica, where I lived in a vibrant community dedicated to mindful living and holistic wellness. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, I discovered the power of daily practice and the importance of living in harmony with the earth and those around me.

My journey then led me to India, where I immersed myself in the teachings of the Osho Community. Here, I explored meditation, self-inquiry, and the transformative energy of group practice. The vibrant atmosphere and spiritual depth of India awakened new layers of awareness and inspired a deeper commitment to my path.

Living at the foothills of the Himalayas, close to the Dalai Lama, offered a unique opportunity to experience the serenity and wisdom of Tibetan Buddhist teachings. The peaceful mountain setting and the presence of great teachers nurtured a sense of inner stillness and compassion that continues to guide my practice.

From there, I found myself in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Italy, embraced by a community that celebrated the joy of movement, connection, and shared growth. The blend of Italian warmth and yogic tradition created a space for creativity, laughter, and heartfelt connection.

My journey brought me to Ziria mountain, Korinthia, South Peloponnese, Greece. Here, the majestic landscape and ancient energy of the land have provided a powerful backdrop for reflection, renewal, and continued exploration of Yoga’s gifts.

Each place and community has shaped my journey, offering unique lessons and unforgettable memories. Through every transition, yoga has remained a constant source of grounding, inspiration, and transformation.

Now, my greatest adventure is—Motherhood. This chapter brings its own challenges and joys, inviting me to draw on all that I have learned and to embrace the unknown with an open heart. As I step into this sacred journey, I am reminded that Yoga is not just a practice, but a way of living, growing, and loving through every stage of life.
