The amount of work that most of our society does sitting down causes most of the pain we struggle with in our daily lives. Sitting motionless for several hours a day is bad for our backs, no matter how professional our chair is. Let's not kid ourselves that an expensive chair or other gadgets will prevent neck stiffness, lower back pain or burning between the shoulder blades. Our spine thrives on movement; it needs oxygen, better blood circulation and hydration. Only movement can give it that. If you are afraid that you will forget, set an alarm every 2 hours to get up from your chair, drink some water and do a few stretching and breathing exercises. Your body will thank you for it.

Ruch- nie wszyscy się z nim przyjaznią. Nie zdajemy sobie sprawy z tego jak ogromny wpływ na nasze samopoczucie, mobilność, zdrowie psychiczne ma aktywność ruchowa. Spacer, jazda na rowerze, rolkach, pilates, taniec, jakikolwiek ruch powinien towarzyszyć nam na codzień aby uniknąć nieprzyjemnych dolegliwości, które potrafią uprzykrzyć życie. Wybierzmy coś dla siebie, coś co będziemy wykonywać z przyjemnością a nie z przymusu. Ruch nie może wywoływać u nas negatywnych emocji. Kiedy pytam swoich klientów czy uprawiają jakąs aktywność ruchową bardzo często słyszę odpowiedz negatywną. Brak czasu, życie w ciągłym pędzie, obowiązki albo poprostu niechęć czy ból są główną przyczyną braku ruchu w naszym życiu. Ból nie jest przeciwwskazaniem do ćwiczeń.
Nasz kręgosłup, stawy potrzebują ruchu. Nie wydajmy masy pieniędzy na kosztowne poduszki ortopedyczne, gadzety, które zrobią pracę za nas, nie zwalajmy winy na zły materac, złe krzesło czy złe buty. Niestety to my jesteśmy odpowiedzialni za nasze samopoczucie, to my musimy wykonać pracę i my decydujemy o tym jak się będziemy czuć. W dzisiejszych czasach nie da się uniknąć stresu, większość z nas ma prace siedzącą ale poprzez nasze działania możemy zniwelować większość naszych dolegliwości mięśniowo stawowych. Nie siedzmy 8 godzin w jednej pozycji przy komputerze, zróbmy sobie przerwę co 2 godziny na napicie się wody i zrobieniu kilku ćwiczeń oddechowych czy rozciągających. Nasze stawy wam za to podziękują. Jeżeli mamy bardzo absorbującą pracę nastawmy sobie alarm przypominający.
Szukajmy rozwiązań a nie przeszkód

Exercise – not everyone is fond of it. We do not realise how much physical activity affects our well-being, mobility and mental health. Walking, cycling, rollerblading, pilates, dancing – any kind of exercise should be part of our daily routine to avoid unpleasant ailments that can make life miserable. Let's choose something for ourselves, something we will enjoy doing and not feel compelled to do. Exercise should not cause us negative emotions. When I ask my clients if they engage in any physical activity, I very often hear a negative response. Lack of time, a life in constant rush, responsibilities or simply reluctance or pain are the main reasons for the lack of movement in our lives. Pain is not a contraindication to exercise.
Our spine and joints need movement. Let's not spend a lot of money on expensive orthopaedic pillows and gadgets that will do the work for us, let's not blame a bad mattress, a bad chair or bad shoes. Unfortunately, we are responsible for our well-being, we have to do the work and we decide how we feel. Nowadays, stress is unavoidable, most of us have seated jobs, but through our actions we can alleviate most of our musculoskeletal ailments. Let's not sit for 8 hours in one position at the computer, let's take a break every 2 hours to drink some water and do a few breathing or stretching exercises.
Our joints will thank us for it. If we have a very absorbing job, let us set a reminder alarm.
