This May we are returning to Ashlin Farm Barns in Lincolnshire for another of our Gentle Release Practitioner Training Retreats, and if you've been before, you'll know just how special these few days can be.

Three full days of intensive, hands-on practical training. The kind of learning that settles deeper when you're surrounded by calm, beautiful space and nourishing food.

The retreat runs from the evening of Monday 18th May through to Thursday 21st May 2026.

And the venue itself is something quite special.

Think home-cooked lunches each day, cakes and snacks to keep you going, and the most welcoming atmosphere to learn in.
If you'd like to stay on site (and we'd really recommend it), you can add four nights in a luxurious double en-suite room, all to yourself. That includes dinner, bed and breakfast each evening, bathrobes and slippers, and even a swim spa to unwind in after a day of training.

It's the kind of retreat where in the evenings you get to spend time and connect with like minded people, over good food and a glass of wine if you fancy one or your equally welcome to retreat to your luxurious bedroom to take some time out for yourself.

🤍 Practitioner Training Retreat: £695
🤍 Add 4 nights Deluxe Accommodation & Meals: £295 (total £990)

A non-refundable deposit of £200 confirms your place.

Spaces are limited, so please get in touch to check availability before booking.

These retreats are always something special. 🤍

This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week and what better way to celebrate it than share about how it helped us develop the Gentle Release Therapy Vagus Nerve work.

Watching my own daughter navigate the world as an autistic child, I saw first-hand how much the nervous system can struggle to regulate and inspired me to use try working with Gentle Release on our own Vagus Nerves. That experience shaped everything that followed, and ultimately inspired the Vagus Nerve courses.

One of our practitioners recently shared this about working with her adult daughter, who experienced autistic and ADHD burnout:

"My adult daughter has recently suffered a full breakdown due to autistic and ADHD burnout. During her recovery she has experienced frequent meltdowns and spiralling, as she has struggled to regulate her nervous system. Helen suggested working on the vagus nerve, having seen how well this worked with her own daughter.

I use the first four points of the vagus treatment and the results are astonishing. The first two holds seem to reassure her, but the holds on the ears are transformative. This is where all the energy seems to be, and the calming effect is instant. The overwhelm evaporates, steadiness returns.

The treatment has become a valuable element of her toolkit, giving her more confidence and removing some of her fear about becoming dysregulated."

This is why this work matters so much.

If you'd like a gentle starting point, we've created a special bundle to celebrate the launch of the Introduction to the Vagus Nerve course:

🤍 Introduction to Gentle Release Therapy
🤍 Introduction to the Vagus Nerve

Together they offer a simple way to begin learning how to support your nervous system and explore Gentle Release for yourself or your family.

Normally £120 — yours for £85 until 31st March.

Both courses are self-paced with lifetime access.

Fabulous review for Gentle Release Vagus Nerve work 💗

SOME WONDERFUL FEEDBACK FROM A LOVELY CLIENT - FOR GENTLE RELEASE THERAPY

"Hi Ged.... so really impressed with the Vagas Nerve Gentle Release Therapy. The sessioitself was incredibly calming, I felt very relaxed more so than the other two sessions I have had before. Considering the hectic, busy lifestyle I am leading and the bad weather outside it did not affect the amazing way you managed to create total calm over my mind and body, so much so I was almost asleep at the end of the session. It is hard to describe how relaxed I felt after the session other than to say I felt almost a little drunk. Slightly lighted headed but in a really pleasant way. When I got home I felt totally at peace with myself and my family which is very welcome. I cant believe I had the best night's sleep I have had in for what seems like a very long time. If it was not for my husband getting up in the night for the toilet I would have slept right through and that never happens. I did not even feel my carpal tunnel in my hand and that has had me up most nights for weeks now. This morning I felt calm, refreshed and relaxed and clear headed which is quite amazing at 5am getting ready for another busy day at work. If you could bottle this feeling and sell it I would be at the front of the queue!! Definitely looking forward to my next session and seeing the benefits that will unfold!! Many thanks for the opportunity 🙏 xx"

Deep Intuition isn't always a gift. It's a practice that can be deepened. Clearing blockages in our Spirit Points can really help.

If you've ever felt there's something more waiting beneath the surface of your therapy work, you might be ready for Spirit Points.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Shen is often translated as spirit, mind, or consciousness. It was traditionally considered the most important aspect of ancient acupuncture, closely associated with our sense of self, our inner knowing, and our path through life.

The Spirit Points course explores and releases 12 specific points that are traditionally understood to connect with this deeper dimension.

Working with these points using Gentle Release techniques offers a way to support not just the physical body, but the spiritual and intuitive layers of a person too. It's the kind of work that often deepens your own connection as a practitioner, as much as it supports your clients.

In TCM theory, the Three Treasures, Jing, Qi, and Shen, are seen as essential to sustaining human life. A beautiful way to understand them is through the image of a candle. Jing is the wax. Qi is the flame. And Shen is the light that radiates outward.
Spirit Points work invites us into that light.

If you're a therapist who feels called to deepen your intuition and explore the spiritual side of this work, the Spirit Points course may be the next step on your path. 🤍

You are welcome to get in touch if you'd like to know more.

Our next course in on Zoom this Sunday 22nd March 9.30am - 4.00pm

Sometimes we carry tension in the body for so long that it begins to feel normal.

Tight shoulders.
A busy mind at night.
A nervous system that never quite switches off.

Over the past few years we’ve been sharing Gentle Release work with practitioners and clients, and one area that has brought the most beautiful shifts is the vagus nerve.

So I’m very happy to share that the Introduction to the Vagus Nerve course is now available online.

In this gentle, self-paced course you’ll learn the first four points of the Gentle Release Vagus Nerve Protocol, simple places that can help the nervous system begin to come off high alert.

Inside the course you’ll find:

🤍 An introduction to the vagus nerve and why it matters
🤍 The first four Gentle Release points
🤍 Guidance for working on yourself or family members
🤍 Two guided releases to support your practice

Many people notice deeper sleep, a calmer nervous system, and a sense of the body beginning to soften again.

The perfect follow up to the Introduction to Gentle Release Therapy online course!

You don't have to wait until you're broken to rest.

So often, we tell ourselves we'll slow down when things get really bad. When the tension becomes pain. When the tiredness becomes something we can't push through any more.

But your body doesn't need to reach that point before it deserves care.

Gentle Release Therapy isn't only for the difficult moments. It can also be a quiet space to check in with yourself before things build up.

A chance to let your nervous system settle.

A moment to soften what you didn't even realise you were holding.

Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is offer ourselves that space before we need it, not after.

You don't have to be in crisis to be worthy of stillness. 🤍

Your face tells a story.

Not just in the lines and expressions we see in the mirror, but in the tension we carry without even realising it.

A clenched jaw from a stressful week. A furrowed brow that's been holding on for months. Tightness around the eyes that we've stopped noticing because it's just... always there.

In traditional Chinese medicine, the face has long been understood as a reflection of what's happening in the whole body. It was believed that the skin, the muscles, even the lines we develop can offer a window into our inner balance.

That's part of what makes EnerQi Facial Rejuvenation so different from a traditional facial.

It's not just about the skin on the surface.

Using gentle tools like jade gua sha, facial cups, and an acupressure roller, alongside the Gentle Release techniques you may already know, EnerQi works with the face as part of the whole person.

Supporting lymphatic flow. Encouraging circulation. And gently allowing the facial muscles to soften and release the tension they've been holding.

It's a treatment that offers space for both the face and the nervous system to settle.

Sometimes the most beautiful thing isn't what we add, but what we allow ourselves to let go of. 🤍

There are no words that align with the magnitude of what is coming to light right now.

So many thoughts swirling round my head and a deep sadness for everyone affected — directly and indirectly.

Sending love doesn't seem enough either, but lets start with that 🤍

Ready to GO?

Welcome to the next part of my journey for Gentle Release Therapy. Since late 2017 I’ve been busy creating a training course so that others can learn the techniques and become Gentle Release Therapy Practitioners. I have applied for accreditation with both the Federation of Holistic Therapists and Thinktree Hub. Whilst I wait for approval I will be busy setting up the website and beginning to schedule the first training courses.

If you think you might be interested make sure you like and follow Gentle Release Therapy on facebook. I’m planning to organise some introductory offers, but there will be limited spaces available and they won’t last long!
