Rebranding a small business takes a village, and supporting other local businesses is something that really matters to me. So a little shout out is definitely due -

Thank you for creating my beautiful new logo. Decision-making is not my strong point, so I truly appreciate your patience, creativity, and guidance throughout the process. I couldn’t be happier with the result.

Building trust and connection with my clients is at the heart of what I do. Acupuncture can feel unfamiliar to many people, so having visual content that shows what treatments actually look like has always been a goal of mine. I’m not exactly comfortable in front of the camera, but Clare made the whole experience feel so easy and the results are incredible. She is genuinely amazing at what she does.

This lady literally creates art on nails that is good for the soul, I’m convinced her work is a form of therapy in itself.

Feeling very grateful for talented local businesses across Lincoln and Nottingham.

Many of you may have noticed a little change here over the past few days. These changes were developed as the clinic has grown and found its soul, however, life took a little unexpected turn and things were put on hold. It feels very appropriate to begin this new chapter with the biggest heartfelt thank you to all of you. Many of you know that my son has had some tough struggles with his eyesight over the past few months and this has taken quite an impact on appointments that I have been able to provide. I knew I loved my job and all of you that come through my doors but your understanding, support and kind words during this time has truly meant the world and has allowed me to truly focus on being a Mum and I'm so grateful. As he recovers and gets back to being a kid again, life is getting back to normal and Sol Acupuncture can be established!
Alongside this, big things have been happening; as an armed forces family, we don’t always know how long our journey will be in certain places but I’m super pleased to announce that we have found a beautiful home and will be staying put. For now, you can still find me still at Waddington but exciting things are in the pipeline for a future forever clinic just down the road.
There has also been big changes in Nottingham and I’m very sad to say that Burton Joyce Osteopathy has been closed BUT, there’s new plans happening for this space and I’m excited to say that Sol Acupuncture is STAYING PUT – I know there’s a lack of signage up at the moment but I’m still in Burton Joyce every Tuesday, I promise!

Thank you again and I look forward to seeing you all in clinic, here’s to a restful and healthy winter.
Nic x

Following the publication of an update to the NICE guidelines for 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬, questions were raised in Parliament about the waiting times for treatment and diagnosis for this often debilitating condition.

We flag the 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 pointing to what accredited acupuncturists see in their clinical practise, that 𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬.

The British Acupuncture Council asks why, despite this evidence, acupuncture wasn't included in the NICE review? We also call for more funding for research into acupuncture for endometriosis so that people commissioning healthcare can have the evidence they need to be able to give patients access to the most effective treatments.

The British Acupuncture Council is the only independently accredited professional governing body for Traditional Acupuncturists in the UK.
To find a safe, degree level trained acupuncturist visit our website.

To help ensure that everyone can get scheduled in for their acupuncture appointments, I have recently increased my hours for my Tuesday clinic at Burton Joyce Osteopathy.
Please be aware that evening appointments do get booked up quickly, so it is advised to book appointments in advance to avoid disappointment.

I have been a little absent on the social media front over the summer and enjoyed a little bit of down time but somehow September has already arrived, the kids are back to school and routine has resumed.
I just want to say a huge thank you to all my wonderful clients for making summer such a joy. It's been a balance of getting everyone in for appointments whilst having summer family time but we did it and have achieved some great results at the same time!
It's now back to routine and my usual clinic hours. As the teaching term has also started, please be aware that the Waddington clinic is back to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

If you are curious about acupuncture or have any questions about how acupuncture may be able to help you, then please do get in touch.

It was a day away from clinic on Tuesday, as I was talking all things acupuncture at the RAF Waddington Health and Wellness day. It was great to chat to so many people about the benefits of acupuncture, as well as meet some fantastic local organisations and businesses.

To book in please visit www.acupunturenc.co.uk or contact me on 07854825975.

A huge thank you to NARPO (magazine of The National Association of Retired Police Officers) for publishing an article written by myself and two of my wonderful peers, in their May edition. It's fantastic to get the word out to help people understand how acupuncture may be able to help them.
Acupuncture is commonly known for its effects on chronic pain but for thousands of years it has also been used for so much more. In Chinese Medicine, our bodies are seen as one whole, and so treatments can also help the 'Shen' (our spirit and mind). Modern-day life appears to attribute to struggles with mental health and according to WHO, 1 in 8 people globally were living with a mental health condition in 2019.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of work and daily life of individuals with careers in the police, other emergency services, and the armed forces, issues with chronic pain and mental health conditions, including PTSD, can be abundant. Being in a forces family myself, I am well aware that this toll can also be extended to spouses
If you think acupuncture may be able to help but would like to know more, please contact me on 07854825975 or email info@acupuncturenc.co.uk.

A little break from acupuncture and a bit of a cheeky plea for help and support! (Although Nev has also been having acupuncture to help through training, so its kind of related!).
An awesome friend of the family is currently completing a gruelling challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK. This is not just an average sponsored run, this crazy guy has been running since the 1st of June - accumulating one mile to his run everyday. By the 30th June Nev will have ran 465 miles! Not challenging enough for a donation??! He's running all of these miles over a 0.5 mile stretch of a very boring grey road, just for the added gruelling mental challenge.
This week Nev has been pretty much busting out marathon mileage everyday and will be pushing through that over the next few days. Its hot, he's hurting and he's going through the most challenging week before he reaches his goal.
Can you really imagine running a marathon everyday in this heat?
If you can spare anything, then please show your love for this awesome guy by donating on his Facebook or Instagram page (link at the top of his pages) or please just show your support and keep him going by giving him a like. If you're on RAF Waddington or coming for an appointment then honk that horn if you see him on the road!!
Thanks guys, Nic x
