Due to high demand for my "Introduction to Herbal Medicine" course, starting in September 2026. I am scheduling an extra date. This next course will be starting once a month on Wednesday from March 2026 until December 2026, 10am to 2.15pm. Please message me for further information or to book.

Introduction to Herbal Medicine
This is a non academic course(no exams), based on practical learning and your own personal development, which I hope you will find interesting and fun. This course is intended to give you an introduction into the "herbal world" to treat yourself and your friends and families. Maximum of 5 participants.
The idea came from many people saying that they wanted to be able to identify different herbs and learn how to use them for health and wellbeing, but didn't want to go down the "academic route".
How do I join this programme?
This programme runs once a month, for 10 months, from March through to December for 4 hours per month - 10am to 2.15pm with 15 minutes for lunch.
There is an initial deposit of £50 (non refundable) to join this course, payable on booking (to cover materials and print outs). Then £35 per monthly session. Please contact me to book and for payment details.
Most materials for making products will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own folders/writing pads for taking notes. Drinks will be available throughout the day, but please bring your own lunch if required
What does this course include?
Month by month you will learn:
• How to make your own medicines - through regular workshops, preparing and making herbal remedies. eg infusions, decoctions, salves, syrups, tinctures, vinegars and making your own first aid kit
• Going on herb walks, foraging and learn how to identify different herbs and their plant families.
• Collecting, harvesting, seed collecting and drying.
• Design, develop and growing your own herb garden.
• Which herb to use for which conditions.
• Meditating with herbs and how to be intuitive when choosing herbs.
• Familiarise yourself with at least 10 different herbs in depth.
• What qualities the herbs have and which part of the herb is used.
• Choosing the holistic approach when selecting herbs. Looking into todays lifestyle, nutrition, digestion, circulation, sleep patterns, stress, energy levels, diseases.
• Making your own herbarium
Location and Facilities
We will work inside and outside for workshops, learning, collecting, foraging and identification, so may need suitable footwear and coats depending on weather conditions. The course will be held at my house on Heighington Road Canwick, LN4 2RJ, where I have a large established garden which caters for me and the wildlife, with many herb beds, greenhouse, trees, hedges and a cottage garden layout.
