Today at Alt Ed Lincs, we stirred up some serious learning fun! Our students got hands-on with fractions by mixing up their very own mocktails. 📚➗🍊

Using ingredients given in fraction format, they measured, mixed, and mastered two delicious drinks:
🌅 Sunrise Sparkler – a vibrant blend that looked as good as it tasted
🍍 Tropical Fruit Fizz – fruity, fizzy, and full of flavour!

Who knew maths could taste this good? 😄

We've officially got an allotment, and our students have kicked off their first session helping us get it ready for summer! 🏡🌿

It’s been fantastic seeing everyone get involved—because teamwork is dreamwork.
A big shout-out to our students for getting stuck in and making a great start😎

We’re excited to see this project grow alongside them and can’t wait to build something meaningful together for our SEN and SEMH students🌈

The support and kindness from the community have been incredible, and this allotment is set to be a space for growth—both for the plants and for the people tending to them. 🌼✨

🌟 Thursday was an Exciting Day at Alt-Ed Lincs!

As part of our Careers Month, we had the incredible opportunity to welcome Lincolnshire Police to our facility! 🚓✨ The officers were absolutely brilliant with our learners, many of whom have Special Educational Needs and experience social anxiety.

We kicked off the session with an informative and engaging talk, followed by an exciting hands-on experience where our learners got to investigate some real police gear. They had a blast sitting on an unmarked police bike and in a marked patrol car, turning on the sirens, and even trying out the handcuffs and the breathalyser! (Luckily none of them were over the limit! 😜🫢)

A highlight of the day was when one of our teachers, Kat, playfully got cuffed and placed in the back of the squad car by the officers—definitely a moment to remember! 😂

Overall, it was an amazing day filled with learning and fun, and we are so grateful to Lincolnshire police for taking the time to connect with our learners. Thank you for making such a positive impact! 🙌💙

🌟 Exciting Times at Alt-Ed Lincs! 🌟

The past couple of weeks have been nothing short of amazing! We've been busy exploring the wonders of nature, from checking out the frogs in the Arboretum to honing our skills in orienteering. 🐸🏞️

Our furry friend, Loki the school dog, joined us for some fun with a dog agility session, bringing smiles and wagging tails! 🐶💨 And let’s not forget our culinary adventures, where we cooked up delicious bangers and mash, as well as haggis! 🍽️

At Alt-Ed Lincs, there's never a dull moment, and we can’t wait to see what’s next! Stay tuned for more fun and learning! 🎉

Our students were inspired by her insights and got a glimpse into the dedication and passion it takes to be a nurse. 💉✨
After we switched gears and got our hands dirty at a fantastic gardening workshop! 🌱🌷 Students had a blast creating beautiful pots for the summer, planting vibrant bulbs that will bloom and brighten up the season. 🌞
