I’ve been wondering how to write these words to do this justice.
At our clinic, we talk about strength a lot. Strong skin, strong results, strong women & men.
But this kind of strength is different.
This is about Les.
Our Laser Practitioner Cari’s dad
A husband. A Pod. A friend.
Cari describes him as the kindest, funniest, strongest man you could ever meet.
Eight years ago, Les was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer.
After major surgery, he was given more time, six precious years filled with laughter, memories, and family moments that now mean everything.
Last September, the cancer returned.
And he was given just six months.
Since then, Les has faced every single day with courage. With humour. With love.
Still being the heart of his family. Still showing up with strength most of us can only imagine.
And now, we show up for him and Cari.
Our incredible Laser Practitioner Cari and our Aesthetics Therapist Ffian are running the Race for Life Pretty Muddy 5K to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
They’re not because it’s easy.
They’re not because it’s comfortable.
But because cancer is neither of those things.
As a team, we are unbelievably proud of Cari & of Ffian, who has stood beside her with the kind of friendship that carries you through the heaviest seasons.
This isn’t just a run.
It’s mud, sweat, tears and love.
It’s hope.
It’s awareness.
It’s fighting for a future where fewer families hear the words “six months.”
