It’s starting to get a bit Christmassy around here. Yesterday, I made these two wreaths for the doors. I must get some photos of the Christmas lights that will greet you if you’re coming for an evening appointment!

I am working until 20th December. If you want to squeeze in an appointment next week, I do have a couple of slots available.

Today, I’m mixing up some new creams for my treatment room.

Given that it’s on its way toward Christmas, this one is Myrrh, Sandalwood and Red Mandarin, which makes this lovely-looking pale orange cream.

As a qualified clinical essential oil practitioner, I make all my own reflexology creams and I also make bespoke creams, oils and balms.

The treatment room is going to be full of some lovely new smells this week!

I’m now off to make another cream with Frankincense as its key note.

🍂 Workshop 2: Reflexology and Functional Footwork. For stress relief and enhanced wellbeing. 🍃

👣 Our feet are the foundation of our body, supporting us in every activity we do, from walking and running to standing and balancing. Strong feet are essential for maintaining balance, stability, and proper posture. When the foot muscles are weak, other parts of the body, such as the knees, hips, and lower back, may compensate for the lack of support, leading to misalignment and potential injuries. 👣

🦶 Our feet can also be a gateway to supporting overall well-being, as they are home to numerous nerve endings and pressure points that correspond to different parts of the body. This is where reflexology comes into play.

Reflexology involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears. These points, known as reflexes, are believed to correspond to various organs and systems in the body. By stimulating these reflexes, reflexologists aim to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

⭐ During the practical reflexology section of this Wellbeing Workshop, you’ll learn and practise techniques on yourselves and/or on others, to relieving stress and support your general wellbeing. ⭐

🗓️ So, whether you want to learn about reflexology strategies you can incorporate into your daily routine, learn how to relax, stretch and strengthen your feet, or just have some quality YOU time, then come and join me and Amy Williams Clinical Reflexology for the 2nd in our Workout and Wellbeing series on Saturday 14th June.

Have you been thinking about giving reflexology a go but are nervous about it?

🦶Will it tickle?
🌸Will it hurt?
✌️Do you poke me with needles?
💕Will I be able to relax?

🦶I’m very ticklish and I don’t find it tickles. Having ticklish feet is often about feeling unsafe and on-edge. If people have ticklish feet, it’s usually only for the first couple of minutes and that’s soon forgotten. Don’t let ticklish feet put you off as it may well be a non-issue. I’ve never had anyone not be able to receive reflexology due to ticklish feet!

🌸 Reflexology is normally pain free but there may be parts of the foot that are more sensitive and may have some discomfort. Usually, this is very minimal but it can vary between people. Most people don’t have any discomfort at all.

✌️No, I don’t use needles, or any other implements. I use my hands.

💕 I hope you’ll be able to relax! Most people find reflexology very relaxing. This can look different for different people. Some people close their eyes and drift off somewhere or go to sleep. Others talk the whole way through their sessions. However you choose to relax is up to you.

If you are interested to try reflexology, but have some anxieties, send me a message and we can have a chat about it.

Loving Feet

Hello, Welcome to Amy Williams Clinical Reflexology! I am a reflexologist based in Dunston, just south of Lincoln. Reflexology is a wonderful holistic complementary therapy based on the principle that the feet and hands contain a secret map of the entire body and that by stimulating or manipulating specific areas, we can cause a physical or emotional response in the body to promote wellness, and better health.
