This week we have enjoyed using Autumnal loose parts in the playdough - the children enjoyed seeing the marks the pine cones made in the dough, poking the dough with sticks, making the leaves stand up to look like trees and making a pizza!!

The children added pine cones to the sand as things to manovere with the diggers around the tuff tray.

Leaves were added to the mud kitchen to create some fabulous dishes.

The theme for Caterpillar music was 'counting'. There were lots of songs that included numbers. The children got very involved in the action songs this week.

We went on a few Autumn walks - we all enjoyed kicking the leaves.

We used Autumn colours to our creative work using pens, crayons, paints and different things (tissue paper, cellophane, felt and pasta) to create an autumn collage xc

Another amazing creation from my fabulous husband!!

I cant wait for the children to see it tomorrow and help me set it up.

They will have so much more space to play and use their inaginations!! xx

Diesel Dog has had a lovely 'Good morning' feom the children today.

None of them are forced to acknowledge him but its nice when they do!!

Our youngest playmate has been watching him over the last few weeks and has been very inquistive - he loves it when Diesel wags his tail. I was very impressed this morning when he tentatively went over and even crouched down to stroke his head!!

The older one love to say 'Morning' to him but today they sat with him for quite a while.

I am so proud of how gentle and patient Diesel is with them. It really gives the opportunity to engage and interact and build their confidence around animals

This week we have been doing some Autumnal activities.......

🍁We have been on more walks exploring our environment - spotting the changes in the colours of the leaves, collecting leaves and finding lots of feathers 🪶🍁🍂
🍁Our Caterpillar music session has a Transport theme 🐛🚌🚗🚀🚂
🍁We have enjoyed painting with autumnal colours, leaves and rollers🍂🍁🎨
🍁The children have really enjoyed the roleplay basket this week. I am not sure why but the sunglasses became a big hit on Wednesday!!!😎
🍁We have explored scented cloud dough wihr Autumn themed loose parts and small world toys.
🍁We created an Autumn wreath with the leaves we collected.
🍁The chutes have also featured highly in our play even our youngest playmate has mastered them, shouting again when the car lands on the floor at the bottom🚗

What another busy week we have had!!

🍂we have enjoyed construction using wooden brick, small foam bricks, magnetiles and large foam blocks.
🍂 going for autumnal walks - we also did some conker hunting.
🍂we had a super caterpillar music session - the theme was in the garden - the children loved the puppets and props.
🍂we have been rummaging in the dressing up basket again
🍂 the mirrors have been a big hit this week
🍂we have enjoyed cereal play with autumnal loose parts - scoops, tweezers and funnels
🍂books are always a hit especially the noisy at the moment.
🍂 we have enjoyed our own singing session with our song bag and instruments.
🍂we loved playing outside in the rain
🍂water play!!
🍂"making tea" and sharing it with our frienda🍂 mark making with water using paint brushes and rollers
🍂mark making with chalk
🍂 ..........and soooo much more xx

We had lots of fun during apple week....

🍏We enjoyed rolling them down the little chutes and of course the big one!!

🍏We used them to do printing and enjoyed looking at the marks they made.

🍏We added them to our water play.

🍏We used the diggers to move them round, at one point they were all in the large car transporter.

🍏We loved rolling them in paint down the slide. We listened the noise they made and watched the trail they left behind.

🍏We made apple scented playdough - it must have tasted good to as the children enjoyed licking 🤢

🍏They used their problem solving skills to build some successful apple towers.

🍏The children showed us their strength by carrying them round in a bucket - some great team work to fill the bucket!!

Who knew apples could bring us so much fun!!
