Alarmingly, This Morning conducted a survey of 1,000 Botox patients - and 50% of them required medical intervention due to complications.
Yes, half of the people surveyed needed medically qualified interventions after their treatments.

🛑 Before you book any aesthetic treatment, protect yourself by doing a few essential checks:
✔️ Look into your practitioner's qualifications, experience, and patient reviews
✔️ Ensure your practitioner is a prescriber, or that you see one face to face for a consultation before your treatment.
✔️ Confirm they have the right insurance to carry out treatments
✔️ Don’t be afraid to ask about any past complications—a trustworthy professional will be honest
✔️Ask for your practitioners PIN to check they are active on their regulatory body’s register (eg NMC, GMC, GDC)
✔️ Most importantly, assess the treatment environment
‼️ Unfortunately, many procedures are still being performed in kitchens, back rooms, or non-clinical spaces. These settings are not suitable for medical procedures and carry serious risks of infection.

At least 14 people so far have been affected with fake “botox”.. There are so many imported products that are not licensed to be used in the UK, so will never be prescribed by a medical professional! If you are not seeing a prescriber face to face and the botox is cheap then there’s a reason!

If you have aesthetic treatments such as botox then you need to hear this;) From 1st June 2025, anyone having a prescription only medicine such as Botox MUST see the prescriber face to face, not by zoom / telephone. Doctors and dentists have not been allowed to prescribe remotely for a long time. The NMC (nurses governing body) have finally caught up! This is brilliant news for everyone as safety in cosmetic treatments is so important! So if you are not seeing a nurse / doctor or dentist before your treatment then you need to question what is being injected!!
