• Meet the ULTH Undergraduate Medical Education Team – ask questions and gain insights from professionals who understand what it’s like to pursue a career in medicine.
• Join engaging talks – explore important topics such as ethics, confidentiality, patients’ rights, and professionalism.
• Take part in hands-on clinical skills workshops – develop practical skills essential for a career in medicine.

âś…Eligibility:
• Must be living or educated in Lincolnshire
• Must be in Year 12 and aged 16–17 on the day of the event
• Minimum of six GCSE passes at level 6 or above to include English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology or double science
• Predicted to achieve a minimum of BBB at A level, including Biology or Chemistry

This National Apprenticeship Week coincides with International Day of Women & Girls in Science - and our NHS apprentices are proving every day that science careers aren’t built only in labs; they're built in corridors, clinics, and communities.

Start with what interests you, not what you think you “should” pick.
Whether it's people, problem-solving, tech, or biology, there’s a science role linked to it!

Look for entry points, not job titles.
You don’t have to begin as a scientist; you can start as:
- A Healthcare Support Worker
- A Lab Assistant
- A Pharmacy Assistant
- A Digital Apprentice
Each one leads into science pathways.

Talk to people already in science roles.
Ask them what surprised them, what they love, and what skills helped most.

Say yes to work experience.
