Calling all horse riders! Can you help us put the neigh in our neighbourhoods? 🚨 🐴
We're once again on the look out for new volunteers to join our Community Safety Mounted Volunteers (CSMV), this time in the North and North East Lincolnshire areas.
If you own or have access to a horse you regularly ride, enjoy hacking out and have a keen interest in supporting your local rural community, then this could be the perfect role for you.
Our Mounted Volunteers ride in their local area reporting anything suspicious or incidents of concern, attend local events to represent the police, take part in Operation Close Pass and help us promote road safety awareness. They are a key link between the Police and the rural and equine community.
Mounted Volunteers are given training in rural, equine and wildlife crime, and complete the British Horse Society Ride Safe Award. Volunteers are provided with hi-viz wear for both horse and rider, a hat camera and expected to complete a minimum of 2 hours per week to the scheme.
If you have a keen interest in preventing rural, equine and wildlife crime, and a minimum of five years of riding experience, a suitable horse, and enjoy riding out in your local community, then this role could be perfect for you.
