During the summer holidays, we’re partnering with Lincolnshire Libraries to offer families a School Uniform Swap rail.

If you’re heading to Lincoln Central Library between 19 July - 16 August, bring along your outgrown school uniform, add it to the rail and take away some new clothes for your child, ready to go back to school! ✏️

If there’s nothing taking your fancy when you drop off your preloved piece, visit the rail throughout the month to see what’s been added!

Please note all uniform will be donated to a chosen charity at the end of the month, no take backs. The usual token system will not apply to the School Uniform Swap Rail and is operating on an honesty method of one in, one out.

Glycerol is used to keep slush drinks from freezing solid, but at high levels, it can be dangerous for young children with new findings showing that even one serving could pose a risk.

The FSA’s Board has endorsed our advice that slush ice drinks containing glycerol are not suitable for children under 7, and no refills should be offered for children under 10, this advice is based on 350ml serving.

Parents and guardians should check with the seller on whether the drink contains glycerol.

Summer is almost here and our Splash Parks in Retford and Langold are ready to open as normal on Saturday 3rd May.😎💦

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our parks and hope for a summer full of sunshine so that you can fully experience the activities and attractions that are set to take place.

Unfortunately, there will be a short delay to the opening of our Splash Park in The Canch, Worksop due to some essential repairs that were discovered when we carried out our annual maintenance checks earlier this year.

We are working as quickly as we can to have the Splash Park open as soon as possible and these repairs have been scheduled to start on Tuesday 20th May. Unfortunately, as this is caried out by a specialist business from outside of the Council, this is the earliest date that we can make the repairs.

We are hopeful that The Canch Splash Park will be open at the beginning of June and we apologise for any disappointment this has caused. Please remember that our Splash Parks in Retford and Langold will be open during this time.

You’ll find Ellis Mill on Mill Road, just behind the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, which also has an action-packed programme of Victorian Adventures to look forward to over the Festival weekend.

The mill will be open from 11am - 2pm. Entry is free, no booking required.
