Round up week for Lincoln Manor.....

Last week we surprised our resident with his old Post Office bike. Seeing his face light up with delight, this assured us from all those involved that our job was complete.

Two of our residents took off on a trip to collect their much needed essentials and had a coffee out in the community. This fulfilled their routines prior to living at Lincoln Manor.

Happy 95th Birthday to our Richard.

Yesterday we took Richard to visit the International Bomber Command Centre where he was able to reminisce on his time spent in the services.

A quick roundup of what has happened at Lincoln Manor in June.

We had fun meeting bikers at our first bike night and our residents thoroughly enjoyed talking to the bikers and walking around all the bikes followed by a BBQ. (Please keep an eye out for our next bike night, information to follow very soon).

We have celebrated birthdays - Poppy 99 years young and Muriel who turned 90. We hope you both had an amazing day.

We visited the Lincolnshire Show on both days, where our residents came along and were handing out refreshments and talking to members of the public about their brilliant experiences here at Lincoln Manor.

At the end of the show day, our residents were privileged to drive around in a VIP car to ensure they had not missed any part of the show.

On Tuesday Andy & Lewis came to Lincoln Manor to entertain us. We had an amazing afternoon, where we linked up with other local care homes.

We had lots of laughs and definitely lots of dancing was had.

We cannot wait to greet you back at Lincoln Manor.

We have celebrated Linda's birthday.

We welcomed James back home, as he has recently been in hospital. How lovely to see our Residents missing one and other.

Plus a couple of our ladies wanted to visit our local garden centre.

It’s Day 2 of , and today we’re celebrating Catering & Hospitality student Isaac, who has been doing amazing work this year👏

In his spare time, Isaac volunteers by baking a variety of delicious cakes for residents at the local care home, Lincoln Manor – where his grandma lives. He also spent a month volunteering there one day a week.

When a part-time catering role became available at Lincoln Manor, Isaac applied and was interviewed. We’re thrilled to share that he has now turned his volunteering into a paid position, working 22 hours a week alongside his Level 1 Catering & Hospitality course at Lincoln College👨‍🍳🍰

Volunteering is a fantastic way for students to not only make a difference in their community but also gain valuable practical skills to help them move forward – just like Isaac 🌟
