Here are my family (I’m the baby). My father was born in Wales, he met my mother in England, they married and 3 children came along, when we were young we moved down to Pembrokeshire, Wales. My father’s ancestral line is primarily Welsh (96%) and Irish (4%). His paternal family came from Pembrokeshire & Mid Wales, and his maternal family from Glamorgan. We can trace back his ancestry to the 1600’s, which is quite tricky in Wales as there are lots of similar surnames.
My Mother was born in Manchester. Her father was of completely Irish Ancestry on both sides. Her mother was born in Scotland and had a little English ancestry. She is 50% Irish, 36% Scottish, 8% Norwegian (I think this is from the fact that her mother was from the Highlands), 4% English & 2% Swedish. All the DNA results tie in with over 30 years of family research.
