Last week, HTG-UK were invited by Cleric for a preview of the upcoming system update and a detailed walkthrough of new and existing features.
Our team members, Tom Bussey (Head of IT & Data Intelligence) Dan Hutchinson (Contact Centre Manager) and George Bailey (IT & Data Support) were joined by Simon Hey (Operations Director) and Alex Sanderson (Head of Business Improvement).
The session provided an excellent opportunity to ask in-depth technical questions, helping us better understand how the system works best for us and why certain processes function the way they do.

We came away with valuable insights and actionable tasks that will enable us to deliver even better services for our patients.
A big thank you to Rob, Phil, and Lucas for being fantastic hosts and making the session both informative and enjoyable.

NHS non-emergency patient transport takes to the skies!

The HTG-UK Senior Management Team took a meaningful trip into the skies over to the Isles of Scilly today, gaining valuable insight into the vital transport links that support island life.

Representing our team were Simon Hey – Operations Director, Nigel Briggs – Head of Operations, and Naomi Page – Contract Manager Cornwall & Isles of Scilly. Hosted by Penzance Helicopters, today’s flight highlighted the essential role this service plays in connecting residents to mainland healthcare, especially NHS services.

We extend our sincere thanks to David Page, Heliport Base Manager and the dedicated ground and air crews who keep this lifeline running 365 days a year. Your commitment makes a real difference.

What a great team!

Congratulations to this week’s Team of the Week - HTG Patient Transport team

Ian and Mark are The QEH’s Health Transportation Group liaison team for Norfolk patients.

They are always hugely helpful and supportive with all discharge transport issues, they are regularly out and about supporting wards and the discharge lounge and do their utmost to make sure that patients get to where they need to be in a timely way.

They regularly go the extra mile to make sure that discharges run smoothly, Ian very recently went above and beyond to support a complex discharge for a patient for whom a huge amount of work had gone into planning the discharge and we were all keen to make sure it was a success.

They really are a vital and valued part of Team QEH, thanks to both for their ongoing help, support and patience!

🚑 It’s National Volunteers’ Week, and today we’re tipping our hats to the Patient Transport Service Volunteers – the unsung heroes of the ambulance world! 🎩💚

They might not be racing to emergencies, but these legends make sure patients get to their appointments safe, sound, and on time (or at least close enough — traffic’s a thing, right?).

Helping those who don’t need lights and sirens but do need a hand, they keep the wheels turning and the NHS moving.

Cheers to the folks who make hospital runs look easy and keep everyone comfortable on the journey!

HTG-UK support our service users getting to and from their NHS appointments - Volunteering is a rewarding way to help.
We have contracts to provide non-emergency patient transport in Mid & South Essex, Dorset, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Norfolk & Waveney and North East Lincolnshire (Grimsby). We always need volunteer colleagues in these areas.
