There is no holiday from domestic abuse. Many children will be off school for six weeks. The abuse they hear, see or receive will go on regardless of the holidays. The difference is that they will not have the escape of school or the support they get from contact with teachers and friends. So today, we are asking you to share these numbers for help and support:
• If you believe a crime has been committed: call 101 or 999 in an emergency.
• NSPCC helpline: 0808 800 5000 if you want help and support, or you are worried about a child.
• Childline: 0800 1111 for any child with any worry, at any time.
• The national Respect helpline: 0808 8024040 if you are concerned about your own behaviour call
• Lincolnshire children's safeguarding: 01522 782111 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm). If you are concerned for a child in Lincolnshire.
• The Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Service: 01522 510041 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) if you need support and assistance because of an abusive relationship.
• The National Domestic Abuse Helpline: 0808 2000 247 for freephone, 24-hour support.
