Our residents have been getting wonderfully spooky and creative as they continue with their DIY Halloween crafts 🧻

From wicked witches to grinning pumpkins and mischievous mummies, there’s no shortage of imagination here at Roman Wharf!

We can’t wait to show off all their frightfully fun creations as we get closer to Halloween!

Today our artistic residents helped to design posters to advertise some exciting dates for your diary! They are thoroughly enjoying the arts and crafts session whilst nattering away - we have been discussing our favourite Christmas memories ❤️.

Today we enjoyed crafting some Halloween decorations ahead of the spooky season, this is the outcome we are hoping to achieve 🎃👻🧙🏻

The residents enjoyed painting and nattering whilst we caught up on the latest Strictly Come Dancing 💃🏻. We love watching the amazing outfits and the stage effects on the show - it reminds a lot of our residents of times when they used to go dancing themselves 😍.

What a delightful afternoon we had! Our residents were treated to a toe-tapping performance by a local ukulele band, filling the home with laughter, music, and even a little dancing! 💃🕺 From classic sing-alongs to cheerful tunes that brought back fond memories, the smiles on everyone’s faces said it all. A huge thank you to The Lincoln Ukelele band for bringing such energy and joy to our home — and to our wonderful residents for joining in with such enthusiasm!

This afternoon, our wonderful residents spent some quality time together enjoying a relaxing – and very fun – Friday!

From the friendly competition of dominoes and bagatelle to the peaceful challenge of jigsaw puzzles, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

We ended the day with a timeless classic – The Wizard of Oz – and plenty of smiles as we followed the Yellow Brick Road together 👠🎥

Our talented residents have been busy this afternoon, continuing to craft beautiful poppies in preparation for Remembrance Day.

So much care and dedication is put into every detail, whilst we enjoy a good chit-chat and singsong!

When the time comes we’ll be displaying their creations proudly throughout the home ❤️

Our residents have been busy adding some colorful charm to our windows!

This morning, they painted beautiful window decorations and wind chimes to hang on the glass – bringing a splash of joy and creativity to the communal areas.

It’s amazing how a bit of paint and a lot of heart can brighten up not just our windows, but our spirits too. 🥰

These little masterpieces will eventually dance in the sunlight and chime in the breeze – a lovely reminder of the talent and imagination within our home. 💫

This morning our residents have been taking part in making Banana bread!

Baking is good for dementia as it provides sensory stimulation, can evoke comforting memories, promotes cognitive engagement, improves dexterity, reduces anxiety, and offers a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

Our talented residents have been busy getting creative today, they are preparing to craft beautiful gift tags using a Crop-A-Dile!

From colorful card stock to carefully punched designs, everyone is going to love learning how to use this nifty tool to make something both fun and festive.
