The words you will hear often in the birth world is “Knowledge is Power”
Educating yourself or having someone by your side to point these little details out to you will have a hugely positive impact on your pregnancy and birth!
If you’re a planner like me, the idea of a due date seems wonderful. Working towards something and having a goal is important and I encourage it in pregnancy. However sometimes we focus too much and this can then create a blocker and cause a negative impact on your long term goals.
Whilst planning has its part in pregnancy and birth, Trust also has a big seat at the table.
TRUST your body ❤️
TRUST your baby ❤️
Keep focusing on all the lovely things that build your oxytocin and less on dates and ideas that were created based on No evidence.
Planning nice things that fill your cup past your so called “Due Date” will benefit you greatly, book that dinner with friends, have that date night and trust in the process. Don’t allow yourself to feel pressured, know your rights, do your research, you do not need to feel rushed or coerced into giving birth before baby is ready!
OXYTOCIN is the key, that lock won’t open properly without it. Take a breath mama, trust your instincts, you will meet when you’re both ready 🫶🏻
