Many of you may recognise this familiar face! Having grown up locally, our founder Alex, opened the Lingfield funeral home when he was just 19. Since then, Alex has had the privilege of helping serve and care for our community’s families, when going through some of the most difficult times of their lives.
Now joined by his father, Alan, and his son, George, Alex and our team continue to deliver excellence and care in all that we do, leading with compassion, respect and kindness.
Outside of the funeral home, Alex is most at home in the countryside, spending much of his time with his three children Hannah, George and Coral, his wife Florence and their many animals!

Sonia of Lingfield originally from Wales sadly passed away at East Surrey Hospital on 11th May 2025 aged 84 years. Wife to Brian and sister to the late Wendy Roach.
Sonia will be greatly missed by her family , friends and all that knew her.
The funeral will be held at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Lingfield on Friday 27th June 2025 at 12 Noon.
