Therapy can be life changing for some. It is used by many people to help with certain areas of their lives in which they need some direction, but, I am not the expert in your life, you are! My job isnβt to give advice, but to help guide you over, above, or below obstacles. I believe we are all so unique, that using only one style of therapy is not sufficient enough in order for us to reach our goals. As I am an integrative counsellor, I therefore look at the person as a whole and tailor therapy to meet their individual needs. I do this by mixing a range of theories and approaches such as: cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT); the psychodynamic approach to look at childhood and early experiences; transactional analysis (TA); Gestalt therapy; and the person-centred approach. I am able to pull out what I believe will be the most relevant and beneficial parts of each approach and technique, and integrate them to meet the needs of each individual person.
You may feel like you just need to talk and have someone there to listen; you may feel you want to learn new techniques to help yourself in your current situation' or you may want to feel more equipped in knowing how to handle emotions/situations in the future. Whatever it may be, I am here to support you with that.
