It's been a while since I've posted on here. I closed my practice to go on a solo trip to Scotland, which was amazing and much needed after the past 18 months. Since then I've gone back to university and apparently I'm old enough to be a mature student!
-
I'm now remaining closed until I have settled into my studies and have more time to dedicate to my clients. When I do reopen I will update social media and contact my regulars to let them know.
-
Until then, here's a few photos from my trip to Scotland π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ

Adding a bit of sunshine to my treatment room! My mum used to have her own business reupolstering furniture, so we've picked this yellow fabric for my new consultation chairs. They will need a clear plastic cover so I can disinfect them after each client, but I think it will make things a bit brighter π

Hello there π I've been away for a while but there's lots going on behind the scenes! I've been decorating non stop for the past few weeks, freshening up my treatment room for when I can welcome back my lovely clients. I can honestly say I never want to pick up a tin of gloss paint ever again π can't wait to finish and get new carpets fitted too! Then all we need is an opening date π€

My treatment room plant babies are happily settled in their new *temporary*π€homes. Luke needed some greenery in his makeshift office/corner of the room πΏ and I'm creating a mini forest on the landing!
We've also been reshuffling our furniture over the weekend, does anyone else find this therapeutic? We're going to be here for a while so we might as well make the living room extra cosy! Time to get the big thermos out for cold walks, or drives if we're feeling less brave. Lockdown 2.0 we are ready for you!

Always feel incredibly lucky to live near these beautiful hiking trails. If we're feeling cooped up we try to get outside and explore somewhere new. Today we did the 10.5km Swellands trail from Marsden into the Wessenden Valley, and it did not disappoint! The purple heather is still buzzing with bees despite the weather getting cooler π @ Wessenden Valley

Reflexology is an in-depth yet gentle treatment, focusing on specific points on the feet, ankles and lower legs. These points are believed to correspond to various organs and systems within the body. By massaging and stimulating these points, I hope to help you feel more balanced and grounded, something many of us struggle with, myself included! To me, the feet are a window into our physical and emotional state. Youβll be surprised by what your feet can tell you!
Whether you have specific concerns or just fancy a treat, reflexology provides an opportunity to slow down, unwind and relax whilst promoting your mental & physical wellbeing. Having tried massage and reflexology whilst struggling with my mental health in my late teens and early twenties, I know first hand that holistic therapies are a gentle way to gain some peace and quiet amidst the chaos. I am confident that reflexology can benefit you too.
A few important things...
I offer reflexology treatments from my cosy treatment room in Linthwaite, Huddersfield.
My training in holistic therapies (massage, aromatherapy and reflexology) took place at the Lizzy Halbert Institute of Healing in Halifax. My studies were greatly focused on treating a client as a whole person and not just a collection of symptoms.
I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and the FHT Complementary Healthcare Therapist Register. This register has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, a body accountable to Parliament. For more information click here - https://www.fht.org.uk/search-register
I am fully insured.
