Our next workshop for Flow in the Forest , let us introduce the ever-fluid, ever-fabulous Indigo Rivers!

Workshop title: Liquid Motion Pole

Description:

Liquid Motion is a movement modality synonymous with fluidity, accessibility, community, and sensual exploration. In this workshop, you’ll be guided through movement with, on, and around the pole — with a special focus on seamless static rotation.

Indigo Rivers is a certified and licensed Liquid Motion instructor (1.0, 2.0, Heels & Liquid Motion Pole), and brings almost a decade of experience in the pole world. She teaches pole, chair, and floorwork in North Wales, with a deep love for choreography, flow, and freestyle.

As a performer and international competitor for over 6 years, Indigo brings both skill and passion to her teaching. Being disabled and neurodivergent herself, she places a strong emphasis on accessibility in the classroom, offering tailored variations and a welcoming, supportive environment.

This workshop is an invitation to explore your sensuality, connect to your body, and flow like liquid. Expect to leave feeling empowered, embodied, and inspired.

Prerequisites: Open to all levels — some pole experience is helpful but not required.

Workshop length: 60 mins

Capacity: 15 people max

What to bring: Shorts, knee pads or leg warmers, and socks — anything that helps you move comfortably and feel yourself!

We’re so excited to announce another workshop for Flow in the Forest— let me introduce you to the one and only Staff Doctor themselves, Patryk Burdecki!

Workshop title: These Sticks Are Strange — A Reflection on Tricks That Defy All Classification (Double Staffs)

When: Friday 19th September 2025

Description:

Patryk Burdecki (aka ) has been deeply immersed in the world of stick spinning for over 15 years. Practising mostly alone in his basement, Patryk has developed a truly unique style, creating original tricks that push beyond traditional categories. While he rarely ventures out, he’s always eager to share his knowledge with fellow spinners.

In this 60-minute advanced workshop, Patryk will introduce three short double staff tricks that defy easy classification — a playful fusion of spin, juggling, and contact that will spark your creativity and challenge your technique.

These tricks are taught as a 3 part mini-sequence you can incorporate directly into your own flow, offering fresh inspiration and an impulse for growth.

Prerequisites:

Level: Difficult — this workshop is for experienced double staff spinners ready to explore new territory.

Workshop length: 60 mins

Capacity: 20 people max

What to bring: Please bring your own sticks with good, grippy outer tape — these will be essential for the tricks covered.

We’re so excited to announce another workshop for Flow in the Forest — without further ado, let me introduce you to the dragon staff wizard themselves, Mika Hell!

Workshop title: How to move with Your Dragon: Footwork, Movement & Beyond

When: Friday 19th September 2025

Description:

Mika He’ll is a Berlin-based flow artist and fire performer, passionate about exploring the playful and technical sides of Contact and Dragon Staff. With over 10 years of experience teaching and performing worldwide, Mika brings a powerful mix of knowledge, clear breakdowns, games and challenges to help you level up your dragon flow.

This 90-minute workshop is all about learning to move with your dragon staff — not just tricks, but how to step, pivot, and travel through space in a way that feels fluid and connected. We’ll cover foundational footwork patterns and movement drills so you can dance with your dragon, rather than just spin it.

Mika will offer additional challenges and advanced variations for those ready to push further.

Prerequisites: All levels welcome — but it would be preferable if you could at least do Chi Rolls as a core technique, and if you’re more advanced, Mika has extra challenges up their sleeve!

Workshop length: 90 mins

Capacity: 20 - 25 people max

There will be a few dragon staffs available to borrow, but please bring your own if you have one (or borrow a friend’s!).
