We had a great evening on Monday night at solasta_healthcare being shown around their new, state of the art cataract clinic. We walked through what our patients can expect if they elect to have their cataract surgery done there and then got some hands on experience in theatre, removing cataracts from fake eyes.
We all got top marks for enthusiasm but you will be glad to hear that we will all be returning to the day job 👀📞🪛🕶️🤓

Such an important issue being highlighted by our colleagues in Primary Care Optometry in Northern Ireland.
Having provided Myopia Management options for many years and seeing the positive impact they are having, we feel the same frustrations that you our patients do that you can not use your spectacle voucher towards these options.

Over 700,000 people in the UK have glaucoma, but 50% of them don’t know - with no diagnosis, they will be receiving no treatment, and could suffer irreversible sight loss.
