So February has arrived...dont know about you but I'm glad to see the back of January!! This week in class..its all about food. We at WLS like to give back to our local community..my members have surpassed themselves this year. I am running a charity night night shortly for Pretty n Pink, Breast Cancer Charity and had asked my members to bring in any unopened biscuits sweets or toiletries they got over Christmas that they did not want..[ I make up hampers with loads of stuff in each for a raffle on the night. There's all sorts of things go into the hampers apart from sweets/biscuits etc..electric goods..tech stuff..jewellery..kitchenware..vouchers etc) anyways I had stuff left over after making up 12 hampers so we decided we would give these to local communities..we gave to Falls Bowling club food store..west/south Belfast food bank..brookfield special school..moira Presbyterian Church.. emmanuel church..lakeview nursing home , knitted knockers. Naroon care home . St Vincent de Paul...to mention a few!! I am ever so proud of my generous members...they are just THE BEST.

Wowser...my members are just the best!! You may have to sit down to read this news!! Are you ready for this??? My classes lost 62st 9lbs this week!! Yes 62st 9lbs!! It just shows Christmas weight gain doesn't have to stay around for too long. My members got right back on plan and hey presto what a result!!

Delighted to have so many new faces appear in my classes this week. Dont forget i have a special closed group for all my attending members...you'll get extra help in there..you can ask questions..members share their recipes, tips and ideas. Just send a friend request over..the name of the group in printed on the front of your food plan book. Don't forget to follow this page as well as this is where you will see any competitions I run. you do have to be attending a class before you can be accepted into the closed group

This is basically what I said to all members this week.in class...did most members gain a little weight..yes they did and that is really to be expected just after Christmas. Did I shout and rant at them? Of course I didn't. I praised them for coming back to pick up where they left off. We have to live...and another little indulgence at certain times of the year is totally acceptable. Lovely to see so many new faces coming through the doors..they all agreed that my food plan is not complicated at all and were looking to their first week. One member she already felt lighted just listening to my talk!! Now that would be a first!! Watch this space next week to find out how everyone did. Wowser....what a class today...yes of course there were gains but we also had losses...Eileen reached her 3 stone off and Claire reached her 7st off. Great buzz in class and everyone ready to get going again. If you want to get started I have attached all venues and times in comments

Although my classes are about helping people lose weight and improving health...there is so much more..theres the comradeship...theres being with like minded people who understand exactly how you feel...theres the friendships that are made..theres me!! Who has lost weight and have maintained that for over 3 decades. Mind you before that I had lost and gained many many times hence I never ever judge anyone..last but not least..theres the craic we have every day..this comment from a lovely member sums it up
