With over 15 years experience in the industry, Pegasus is the first and only company outside of North America to be granted an exclusive license to design and manufacture this particular style of CAD-CAM Direct milled Orthoses. Having set a new standard in quality and service within the industry, we have now established ourselves as the market leader in direct milled Orthoses.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Liam McCartney.

Liam was the founder and owner of Pegasus Orthoses over 30 years ago before selling the business on to current owner Pat McGonigle in 2001.

Despite having no active role in the day to day business of the lab, Liam continued to stay at the heart of all things MSK podiatry and clinical biomechanics from his private practice in Lisburn for over 40years.

It should be acknowledged that Liam was an early visionary in the area of conservative, pathology lead orthotic intervention as far back as the mid 90’s after attending a lecture by Howard Danneberg around the same time.

Liam went on to establish Pegasus as the first, fully automated CAD CAM design and manufacturing lab of custom made foot orthoses in the UK and Ireland.

May he rest in peace.
