🌼 Do you find yourself saying yes when you really mean no? 🌼

If you’re stuck in Fawn mode, you may be constantly trying to keep the peace, meet others’ needs, and avoid conflict — even at the cost of your own well-being.

Fawn can look like:
• People-pleasing or over-apologizing
• Avoiding conflict at all costs
• Putting everyone else’s needs first
• Feeling responsible for how others feel
• Struggling to say no or set boundaries
• Not knowing what you want anymore

💔 This response often comes from a nervous system that learned it’s safer to appease than to be authentic.

✨ A simple somatic practice to shift out of Fawn:
Put one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Take a few slow, deep breaths and ask:

What do I need right now? What’s true for me?

This helps reconnect you to your own voice — and reminds your body that it’s safe to matter.

🌿 Somatic coaching supports you in reclaiming your space, your truth, and your boundaries — without guilt.

Did you know your nervous system moves through different stress responses throughout the day?**
That’s completely normal — it’s how your body keeps you safe.

But when stress or unresolved trauma causes you to get stuck in one state (like anxiety, people-pleasing, shutting down, or rage), it can take a toll on your health, relationships, and sense of self.

💫 Somatic coaching supports you in gently processing trauma and emotions through the body, helping your nervous system find safety again — so you can move fluidly through life and return to a calm, grounded state of rest and digest.

✨ Can you recognise yourself in any of these states — Fight, Flight, Freeze, Fawn, or Flop?

You’re not alone.

👀 Keep an eye out — I’ll be sharing simple, effective tips to help you regulate your nervous system whenever you feel stuck.

“I’m always putting a brave face on things… but underneath, I feel like I’m falling apart.”

So many women carry this silent truth.

They show up strong, capable, and composed—while inside, they’re overwhelmed, anxious, and disconnected from themselves.

This isn’t weakness. It’s a survival strategy your nervous system learned long ago.

But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

Through somatic coaching and EFT, we gently slow down, listen to your body, and release the tension you’ve been carrying for years.
You begin to feel more grounded, clear, and connected—not just on the outside, but deep within.

You don’t have to keep holding it all together alone. There’s space here for the real you to breathe again. Reach out for a chat 💚

I say yes when I want to say no.
I don’t want to let anyone down.
So I ignore the tightness in my chest, the knot in my stomach, the voice inside that whispers, “This isn’t right for you.”
And then I end up overwhelmed, resentful, and quietly questioning why no one else seems to notice what I need.

Does this sound like you?
When did it start feeling safer to please others than to honour yourself?

It’s something I hear often from the women I work with — and I’ve lived it too.

You’re the peacekeeper. The helper. The one who doesn’t want to cause trouble.
Somewhere along the way, setting boundaries started to feel like rejection… confrontation… or something to feel guilty about.

So you keep stretching yourself.
Saying yes when you’re already at capacity.
Making room for everyone else, even when there’s no room left for you.

But that guilt you feel for setting boundaries?
It’s not the truth — it’s a nervous system story.
A body that learned early on that your safety depended on staying agreeable, available, and quiet about your own needs.

It makes sense.
And it can shift.

Through somatic coaching, we start to reconnect you to your inner boundaries — the ones your body already knows.
You learn how to feel safe saying no.
How to honour your limits without apology.
How to trust that you are still good, kind, and worthy — even when you disappoint others.

Because your needs matter too.
Because your nervous system deserves to feel protected, not stretched thin.

And because boundaries aren’t selfish — they’re self-honouring.

If this speaks to you, I’d love to connect.
Let’s talk about how somatic coaching can help you feel grounded, clear, and deeply at home in yourself again.

🌊 Emotions are energy in motion — and did you know they can move through the body in as little as 90 seconds if we let them?

Most of us were never taught how to feel. We learned to avoid, suppress, or power through — but healing begins when we learn to sit with our feelings instead of pushing them away.

Here’s a simple guide (save this 💾) for what that can actually look like:
1. Become aware of the emotion – “What’s that? I’m feeling something…”
2. Name the feeling – sadness, anxiety, anger, frustration, disappointment…
3. Accept its presence – “This feeling is here, and that’s okay.”
4. Get curious – Where do I feel this in my body? When have I felt this way before?
5. Allow the release – tears, sighs, shakes… let your body do what it needs to.

✨ When we allow emotions instead of resisting them, they often pass through us in less than a minute and a half. It’s the resistance that causes the most suffering — not the feeling itself.

💛 Be gentle with yourself. Your emotions are messengers, not enemies.

Why Stress Makes Clear Thinking Feel Impossible—And What to Do Instead.

Stress doesn’t just affect your body—it rewires your brain. When overwhelm is high, your brain’s control systems for emotional regulation, planning, and problem-solving literally shut down to prioritize survival.

Ever felt like your thoughts are looping endlessly, but no solution appears? That’s because chronic stress disables the very brain tools you rely on to think clearly and adapt.

Traditional therapies, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, assume you can: ✔️ Hold information in mind ✔️ Resist impulses ✔️ Adapt to change. All of this can be helpful, once you feel safe and regulated within your body.

Somatic Coaching Works Differently Instead of focusing on “thinking better,” somatic approaches help you regulate your nervous system first. 🌬️ Deep breathing signals safety to the body. 👣 Gentle movement helps release tension instead of suppressing it. 🤲 Grounding through sensation restores calm and presence.

This isn’t about pushing through—it’s about feeling safer first. Then real transformation happens, from the inside out!

Next time stress takes over, don’t force yourself to “think your way out.” Start by reconnecting with your body. The clarity will follow.

Looking for somatic tools that actually help? This is exactly what I guide women through in my work—because you don’t have to figure it out alone. 💛

Small Daily Shifts to Soothe Your Nervous System 🧠💗

You don’t need to overhaul your life to feel more grounded, calm, and connected.

Sometimes, just a few intentional pauses can help your body feel safe again. Practicing these regularly daily will also create noticeable shifts for your sense of wellbeing and help you to respond calmly to life’s challenges 💚

Why You Might Feel Anxious, Overwhelmed, or Disconnected (Even When Life Looks Good)

You’ve likely heard of fight or flight. But have you heard of freeze and fawn?

These are all natural responses of your nervous system to stress—especially chronic stress or trauma. They’re not flaws or failures. They’re protective. They’re intelligent. But over time, they can leave you feeling stuck, scattered, or disconnected from yourself.

Let’s break them down—and see if any feel familiar:

🔺 Fight – You feel constantly on edge, reactive, or easily irritated. Your mind races. You try to control everything so you can feel safe. You may look “strong” on the outside, but inside there’s tension and a fear of losing control.

🏃‍♀️ Flight – You stay busy. Always doing, achieving, or distracting yourself. Rest feels unsafe. Stillness brings anxiety. You may feel like if you stop, it will all fall apart.

❄️ Freeze – You shut down. You feel numb, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your body. You might procrastinate or avoid making decisions. You wonder, “Why can’t I just move forward?”

🙏 Fawn – You people-please. You say yes when you want to say no. You ignore your needs to keep the peace. You feel responsible for everyone else’s comfort, often at the expense of your own well-being.

These responses often develop in childhood—and for women who experienced emotional neglect or learned that love was conditional on performance, perfection, or caretaking, they become deeply wired.

✨ But here’s the good news: You can repattern these responses.

By learning how to regulate your nervous system and reconnect with your body’s wisdom, you can shift from surviving to living—from anxious and disconnected to grounded, clear, and self-trusting.

This is the heart of my work. I guide women through somatic coaching and nervous system healing to help them come home to themselves.

❤️ You don’t need to “push through.” You need to feel safe enough to soften.

If any of this resonates, know you’re not alone—and there is a way forward that doesn’t involve fixing yourself, just finally understanding yourself.

Understanding your nervous system is a powerful key to not only making sense of your own emotions and reactions—but also the behaviours of those around you.

One fascinating truth? We’re constantly co-regulating with others. This means your nervous system affects the people you’re with, and theirs impacts you.

When we’re carrying unprocessed emotions, trauma (past or recent), grief, or chronic stress, our window of tolerance—the range in which we feel safe and regulated—can shrink. But the good news? That window can be expanded through consistent self-care practices and somatic support.

It’s important to remember: being regulated doesn’t mean feeling calm all the time. Your nervous system is designed to move through different states to protect you. That’s normal.

But when you feel stuck—constantly anxious, shut down, or unable to come back to balance—it becomes harder to function well, and it can lead to ongoing mental and physical symptoms.

The small things you do daily can create big shifts. And if you’re feeling stuck, you’re not alone. Reach out—I’m here to support you. 🤍

What if the stress you’re carrying isn’t really about what’s happening around you… but what’s been wired within you?

What if it’s not the external pressure that’s overwhelming you—
but the internal pressure that’s been quietly building since childhood?

The pressure to:

• Over-achieve to feel worthy

• Be everything to everyone

• Never ask for help, in case you’re seen as weak

• Always be “fine,” even when you’re falling apart inside

• Keep the peace, calm the storm, read the room, and carry the emotional weight of everyone around you

What’s the long-term cost of carrying this silent burden?

Stress doesn’t just live in your mind. It shows up in your body, your health, your energy, and your sense of self.

Maybe it’s time to stop asking how to do more—and start asking what needs to be released.
