Legion of First Aiders To deliver First Aid Training courses to the public and commercial sectors to the highest standards, using our military and civilian

Legion of First Aiders

We are both Veterans with frontline combat trauma experience, which will enhance any training we deliver. Due to our respective military history, we are disciplined and able to deliver training to all groups, flexible in our approach and able to communicate at all levels. The knowledge we have will make our courses interesting and different from our competitors, as we can relate what we teach to actual events. This will give our candidates an insight that normally would not be available. The role play scenarios we use, are of the highest standard and we use experiences from our past to illustrate our training. As a team we are committed to delivering any thing we teach to a very high standard, we are prepared to do the work and put the effort into making our company a success. We can both deliver and prepare our training materials and produce power point displays to enhance the training. We are looking into delivering other training courses as well. We are starting out into an area which has numerous providers, however what we intend to deliver is different in many ways. We will be using skills we gained in the military, and in extreme trauma situations in various combat zones around the world, on sea and on land. We are proud of our drive to succeed and willingness to work and we have researched the market. We are flexible and able to change our delivery if need be. There are numerous pitfalls in an undertaking of this nature; however, we are very confident, flexible, and strong in thinking on our feet, and adapting to any situation. We are looking into delivering outdoor first aid training courses to Adventure Centres in Cornwall and Devon. To this end, we have checked into the feasibility of setting up this course. Our respective backgrounds and experiences would make this an interesting course for the candidate. There are many adventure centres around the two counties which would benefit from this kind of training. Also we intend to offer event cover for first aid and safety for outdoor events such as Re-enactment organisations, car/bike rallies and other high status events. We are also both Volunteer First Responders for the Liskeard area and run the local Heart Start courses. Competing with the big, well established companies could give us cause for concern, however, like any threat, this can be managed. There is always the problem of the company growing too quickly or not quickly enough, this can also be managed. An other issue might be over extending our courses or finances to a point where we cannot deliver or it becomes non-viable, this we will monitor very closely in the beginning. Mission Statement

To deliver First Aid Training courses to the public and commercial sectors to the highest standards using our military and civilian training. To enhance our community profile, we will deliver short courses, free of charge, to various charity groups, our elders, and youth groups e.g. Scouts and also offer courses to our Brothers in Arms who are coming out into ‘Civvy Street’. As a company we are registered with British Heart Foundation to deliver the Local Heart Start programme. We are both volunteer Local First Responders in the Liskeard area. Our courses are backed by the FAA, OFQUAL and NUCO Training. To deliver the best possible course of training to one and all, thus, empowering the candidate to save lives with confidence. As a team, we will drive the business forward whilst maintaining the highest standards and keeping records for the purposes of audit, both financially and for feedback. Our aim is to deliver a course which is different to others available out there, using the military skills that we have learned and used effectively in conflict situations, around the world. The drive and determination that we will bring to the company was gained in our military careers, where “failure was not an option”. This we will carry over to the company. We can guarantee that we will give 100% to this endeavour; our standards and drive are extremely high and we also compliment each others training style. "So many of our Servicemen and women have made the ultimate sacrifice; so many lives have been lost and so many changed forever by the wounds that they have suffered in the course of their duties. For these selfless people, it is after the guns have fallen silent, the din of battle quietened, that the real fight begins – a fight that may last for the rest of their lives." .....
