You don’t need to be an artist, writer, or even remotely crafty - just curious. This isn’t about producing a perfect page; it’s about giving your mind a place to land.

You’ll spend a peaceful time exploring how a handmade journal can become your own quiet companion.

Penny will guide you through creative journalling techniques which can promote your well-being and support your healing journey.

All whilst sticking, layering, and designing pages that invite reflection as Jane weaves in grounding exercises and prompts to help you tune in to what your inner voice actually wants to say.

You’ll leave with your own tactile journal-in-progress, a few mindful habits to take home, and the kind of peace that only comes from creating with paper while someone else makes the tea.

This Sunday, 29th March, we’re holding our fifth Healing Journal workshop and there are only a few spaces left. The previous sessions have been incredibly popular and each one has found its own gentle rhythm. Keeping the group small makes a real difference; the room feels calmer, more focused, and people settle into the process quickly.

Hosted by Jane and facilitated by Penny from Small Things Bright & Beautiful, the morning offers steady guidance alongside space to explore at your own pace. It isn’t about writing pages or producing anything perfect, it’s about creating something layered and personal, something that quietly reflects where you are.

Exciting news!

We’re so pleased to be welcoming Melanie Ford of Soul Essence to The Calm Rooms for her Angelic Reiki 1 & 2 Practitioner Course this May.

This three-day certified practitioner training runs from 1st to 3rd May 2026, 10am to 6pm daily, and is open to both beginners and those already working in a healing capacity who’d like to deepen their knowledge and practice.

During the course, participants will receive Angelic Reiki Level 1 & 2 attunements, practitioner certification, and training in working with healing energy for themselves and others.

It’s always lovely to host something a little bit special here, and this promises to be a beautiful few days in the space.
