It's an absolute delight seeing people complete their PRACTITIONER (4Elements: Part I) course. Some arrive unable to Massage the way they were taught. Some are there out of sheer curiosity. But the transformation that happens during those 6 days is palpable. Even better when the client feedback forms start coming in!

Year in, year out, the strokes and tools taught on the course just work. There are definitely strokes that practitioners just "get" and others they may struggle with, but Gradually, through Repetition, Over Time, and with Support it all slots into place beautifully.

It's the foundations of a whole approach to Massage which integrates zero-strain Massage with psychologically informed communication and ultimately leads to a powerful Resilience Building Massage which has offered relief and forward movements for clients who've tried a host of other therapies with no tangible benefits. Until this one.

The course covers...
The 7 Postural Keys that underpin all NO HANDS treatments, and can also be applied to other treatments you offer. This is done through moving-meditation type exercises before being applied during the strokes themselves.

Zero-strain Massage: learning how to apply the postural keys, and how to adjust body position, mental focus and intention to deliver these strokes effectively and powerfully. You'll learn strokes for the back, neck, shoulders, arms, head, face, belly, legs & feet. These strokes can be used to form complete treatments in their own right, or integrated with other strokes you already use in your practice. You'll also be introduced to how to use a stool to add further options for working zero strain.

4Elements Massage: Part 1: the Practitioner course covers the first half of our complete 4Elements Massage training. At the end of the Practitioner course you will be able to offer treatments in the WATER and FIRE elements. Completing the 4Elements training (by attending our 6-day Advanced course) is entirely optional.

It's a very practical course and we aim to get you sufficiently confident with this new approach to be able to take it straight back into your clinic.

Timings: for each module the timings are as follows:
Day 1: registration from 8.30am, start at 9am, finish by 6pm
Day 2: start at 9am, finish by 6pm
Day 3: start at 9am, finish by 4pm.

"In Person" is Important

We know this as Massage therapists (and / or Massage fans!) Yes, there are gadgets and gizmos but as to the alchemy of one human touching another, we have yet to find anything that comes even close.

I was reminded of this as I sat on my kitchen floor this morning, bleary eyed, tired and with fuggy thoughts - but with such joy in my heart having spent the whole weekend with dear friends...In Person.

Touch comes in many forms - therapeutic, friendly (often hugs), family, professional (the business hand shake) and more. Sadly it also has many violent forms - which have come to dominate the popular perception of Touch.
