Each month we gather in sacred space with ceremonial cacao to slow down, soften the heart, and come home to ourselves.

🌿 This month’s theme: Self Connection 🌿

In a world that constantly pulls our attention outward, many of us feel disconnected from our bodies, our emotions, and our inner guidance. When we lose connection with ourselves, we often feel overwhelmed, anxious, numb, or unsure of what we truly need.

💚 When you wake up, your body naturally releases cortisol - stress hormone - to help you feel alert and awake.

🫢 If you drink coffee straight away, the caffeine can spike a stress response, making your mornings potentially more stressful than they need to be.

Meditation isn’t one-size-fits-all.

If you’ve tried it before and thought “this isn’t for me” — pause before writing it off.

Awareness grows when the practice actually fits how your mind and body work.

At its core, meditation isn’t about stopping your thoughts.

It’s about creating space between them.

And that space matters.

🧠 Meditation Myths! 🧘‍♀️

True or false? 🤔

❌ You have to stay completely still when you meditate… don’t you dare move!

❌ If you notice your mind is busy, you’re doing it all wrong.

❌ You should be able to empty your mind!

❌ You can’t meditate for only 5 minutes — that doesn’t count!

Any guesses which are true and which are false? 👀

These are some of the most common myths — and I believe they discourage people from continuing with meditation.

💚 Mindfulness meditation isn’t about doing it “right”.

It’s about meeting yourself with kindness, curiosity, and gentleness — exactly as you are.

💚 Most of us find it easier to be kind to others — so let’s start there.

When you walk past a stranger in the street 🚶‍♀️
When you see a friend 🤍
When you think of someone 💭

Practice saying these phrases silently in your mind:

✨ May you be happy.
✨ May you be healthy.
✨ May you live with ease.

Pause and notice how it feels to send out these good wishes 🌿

💓 Notice any sensations in the body — a softening, a heart-opening

🌊 Notice any shifts in emotion — mood lifting, warmth spreading, joy growing

This gently cultivates kindness and compassion in the mind, making it a powerful practice to return to.

When you feel ready, turn the phrases towards yourself 🤍

✨ May I be happy.
✨ May I be healthy.
✨ May I live with ease.

Again, notice sensations in the body and any changes in mood 🌸

If it feels nourishing to receive these kind wishes, allow yourself to rest in those feelings and enjoy them ✨

If it feels difficult, simply notice any resistance or numbness with curiosity and gentleness — no fixing required.

💚 You’re not doing anything wrong if kindness doesn’t arise instantly. Sometimes it really is a case of fake it until you make it when growing compassion.

Here’s a really simple way to grab a moment of calm before the day begins!

🌅 When you wake up tomorrow, try taking 10 slow breaths in and out through the nose 🌬️

Allow yourself to wake gently and create a small window of calm before the day begins.

🧘‍♂️ Really pay attention to the breath —
the cool air entering the nostrils ❄️
and the slightly warmer air exiting 🔥

Notice where the breath travels…

⬇️ down the throat

🫁 expanding the chest and lungs

↔️ widening the ribcage

🌊 creating subtle movement in the belly and shoulders

As you move through your 10 breaths, invite the breath to deepen and slow 🌿

✨ Begin your day intentionally, not reactively.

I used to feel so anxious when putting myself out there! Now it’s part of the fun!
