Do you struggle to provide yourself a delicious, nutritional breakfast whilst trying to juggle getting the kids to school or getting ready for work, in a rush? The answer could be in a smoothie! They take only minutes to prepare and they could provide you with up to 60% of your RDA in fruits and veggies PLUS boost your water intake for the day!

Here's a recipe for an immune boosting, anti-inflammation, great tasting start to your day!

For a Green Monster Smoothie -

In a 500ml drinking/blending bottle you would need:

1 x medium carrot
Half of the cup filled with spinach
50g/4-5 blueberries
50g/4-5 raspberries
100g/4-5 med-large strawberries
1 x teaspoon chia seeds

Blend them all together with half the bottle filled with water, or maybe almond or rice milk to taste. (I like Rude Health milks - they contain no toxic filling agents!)

You can either add a couple of chunks of fresh pineapple, or some raw, organic honey if you have a sweeter tooth!

About Me

After being diagnosed with a long term genetic disease which caused my first stroke back in 2010, I was so poorly I couldn't function. No matter what medication I took, I just felt worse and worse, so I decided I had to do something about it myself. A complete change of diet, some natural therapies and a few years of study later, I feel like a completely different person. I now live life to the full, have a full time job again, enjoy restful sleep and have great energy levels so that I can enjoy a healthy life again. I believe diet fuels wellness, it certainly did for me! I hope to be able to help you integrate into your diet the foods that you, personally, need to improve your wellness too!
