We are a small, family owned dementia care home providing the very best standards of care in the region. We pride ourselves in being a person centred, forward thinking, proactive Home that makes use of the latest technologies to help those that live and work here. It is an exciting time for us here at St. Winefrides, Sandy and Indira (Owners) have all but retired now a

nd have left the running of the business to Raj (Owner/Son) and the Care to Dani (Registered Manager).

2017 has been a year of change for us here at St.Winefrides. Following our inspection we successfully maintained our green light throughout, though only with a 'Good' rating. Dani was aiming for 'Outstanding' but the inspector stated that the Home did not exhibit services that warranted this rating - despite our Computer Care Management System, our developments in Hydration, our Online Staff Training and other areas of excellence which other care homes obtained this rating for. Were we bitter, maybe a little, but if something special is what it takes to get our 'Outstanding' rating, something special is what we will have...

So today we bid farewell to our Dani, the leader of St Winefrides for the last 17 yrs. To say we are sad is an understatement but new horizons and a fresh challenge awaits her. Words cannot convey the positive impact Dani has had in so many people’s lives, both people that have lived and worked with us. Many people owe the start of their careers to her, where they learnt professionalism, integrity and excellence in care. Many families have trusted Dani and St. Winefrides with their loved ones and have nothing but love, respect and beautiful memories. We wish Dani all the love in the World and know that the path that she forges will light the way for many to follow. Good luck Dani you will be missed.

In our next breath we welcome another remarkable lady who comes with a lifetime of experience and a proven track record in caring for those with Dementia. We welcome our new Manager Annie Lewis.

We have amazing news to share with you! Today St Winefride's Residential Home has been awarded Dementia Care Accreditation Accolade!! 🥳

It means that St Winefride’s Residential Home is being effectively managed and governed to the nationally agreed industry standard for Dementia Care. Becoming Accredited demonstrates that the care home takes effective Dementia Care seriously for it’s residents and has been recognised as a specialist provider.

I am so so proud of all the team! You are all amazing and you always go above and beyond for all of our residents! Thank you all for everything! Together we can achieve anything and everything! 🥳🤩
