A lovely review for Caroline's Dementia Talk on Wednesday morning at Ayton House Care Home

The Fire Fighters Charity, Living Well Group would like to thank you and all at Ayton House for your hosting us today and giving such an interesting talk. Many of those that came along today have shared messages on our social media group saying how much they enjoyed your chat and how much they learnt from you. Apparently one couple already come to Ayton Houses fish & chip mornings, you might get more.
Many of the attendees have said how impressed they were by the quality of the home and the friendliness of the staff. All were made to feel welcome and appreciated the refreshments that the home provided. The chocolate cake was especially appreciated by those who tried it.

Yesterday we were delighted to host an informative and compassionate talk on understanding dementia, led by the wonderful Dr. Nori Graham.
The session was incredibly valuable for our community, providing insight, support, and understanding for people living with dementia, their families, and carers.
We rounded off the afternoon with a lovely afternoon tea, giving everyone the chance to connect and share experiences in a warm, friendly setting.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success! 💙

🎄 Ayton House Residents’ Christmas Choir! 🎶
Our residents kicked off their very first choir practice today, beginning rehearsals for our Christmas carol performance just before the big day!
A huge thank you to our wonderful family volunteers — Loraine, Bob and Betty — for supporting our choir and spreading festive joy. ❤️
We’d love for friends, family, and our community to come along and join us in celebrating the season. We will be practicing every Monday at 3pm

🌸 Afternoon Tea at Ayton House 🌸

This afternoon, we were delighted to host a special Afternoon Tea for the amazing volunteers of the East Preston and Kingston Bowling Club. 🫖🍰

It was our way of saying thank you for your incredible community spirit and all the hard work you put into keeping the club running so smoothly. 💚

Our chef prepared a delicious spread of homemade sandwiches, scones, and cakes — and the Sailors Arms Pub were a big hit! 👩‍🍳✨

The afternoon also gave our guests the opportunity to tour Ayton House, seeing firsthand the wonderful care our residents receive and the lovely facilities that make our home such a warm and welcoming place. 🏡💖

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us — we’re so grateful for everything you do for our community!

Remembrance Day 🇨🇦🌺
Today, we gathered for a beautiful Remembrance service at St Margaret’s Church, reflecting on the courage and sacrifice of those who served.

After the service, Jennie and Duane laid a wreath in memory, on behalf of the residents and staff at Ayton House.

We remember with gratitude all who gave so much, and we give thanks to those who continue to care for our community with compassion and dedication.

Lest we forget.
