Thank you to Chelsea, our Care UK Specialist Dementia lead for an informative talk on Staying connected: A guide to dementia-friendly conversations It wasn’t about “fixing” memory loss or correcting confusion. Instead, it was about meeting people where they are, listening with patience, and responding with empathy rather than logic. Small shifts in how we speak and react can make such a big difference to someone’s sense of dignity and comfort.

One thing that stood out: it’s less about the facts and more about the feelings. Validation, kindness, and connection matter so much more than being “right.” Thank you Chelsea for this insightful talk
