Hello Team

Verve Homecare Sussex turned 4 yesterday.

Over the past four years, we’ve had the privilege of supporting so many wonderful people in our community, and none of it would be possible without our incredible teams.

DAN'S EASTER BUNNY SHIFT DASH CHALLENGE!!!!! 🐰🐰🐇

Date: Wednesday 8th April 2026

Time: 08:00-20:00pm

Candidate: Daniel Lovett ( known as – The Easter Bunny!)

Client: EVERYONE!!!!!!

Good morning all,

You’ve all seen or heard of the white rabbits constant mutterings of …’I’m late, Im late, for a very important date’ in the adventures of Alice in Wonderland….. well this Easter our very our Daniel Lovett has his own very important date to attend and it’s a race against the clock to do so!!!

On Wednesday 8th April ,Dan, dressed as the Verve Easter bunny, will attempt to visit and drop of Easter prezzies to all of our complex care clients within 12 hours…. or put another way…. Within one shift so to speak… from 08.00am – 20.00pm

We aim to create a bit of excitement by posting where Dan is throughout the day and how he’s faring in a race against the clock!!! Please keep your eyes peeled if you’re on shift that day and encourage Dan on his way.., or….. to excuse the pun…. Hop to it!!! 😊

We’d like to try and make this into a fundraising activity so please do post any suggestions on who you feel would be a good organisation / charity ect to support.

Calling all our wonderful Nurses and Carers!!!
Do you know any experienced Carers, Support Workers or Nurses based in or around Sussex? If so, we would love to hear from them.
All we need you to do is follow the link below and fill out the form. We will do the rest, and once they have completed 5 shifts, a £75 voucher is yours.
Please note there some stipulations:
⭐ Must be based locally in Sussex
⭐ We’ll provide all necessary training for the role but must have at least 6 months experience in challenging behaviour
⭐ All referrals must have our referral form completed through the website at time of referral to receive the voucher*

Splish splash splosh...... making the ordinary... extraordinary !!!!!! 💦💦

For most people, enjoying the pleasures of a leisurely swim is one of the most routine, and inconsequential pastimes that one can enjoy in life.

But what is ordinary for the majority of us, is extraordinary for others, and for our delightful little 18 month old client we support this was something that was thought by many she would never be able to do!!!!

A picture paints a thousands words....... I think its safe to say this wonderful little girl had the most amazing time!!!! 🥹

A huge thank you to our amazing nursing and ops teams who were able to make this experience a reality!!

A heart-warming snap here of the coming together of an exceptional nursing team who are pictured with the family whose beautiful boy we cared for until his recent passing.

Whilst tears would have undoubtedly been shed, today's coming together was all about a celebration of a life lived, and for those nurses who shared intimately in that life, to remember and reminisce all that he was and did with those who knew and loved him most – his family.

On behalf of everyone at Verve, and to everyone who couldn’t make it today, it was an honour and a privilege to care for Kai and to have known his wonderful family!!!!!

Meet Our Team!

Dan — Our Complex Care Service Manager

Dan heads up our Complex care team of Co-ordinators supporting adults and children with acute clinical needs. Service is at the heart of what we do, and Dan works with his team to ensure that no one cares more.

Fun fact: Dan likes to spend his weekends entertaining kids as Teaspoon the Pixie or Captain Barnacle at whatever special occasion he is needed at.
