🔬 100% In-Process Assembly Verification

At Meridian Medical, we use product leak and block testing as a fast, reliable method to detect manufacturing defects in medical devices. This includes issues such as improperly bonded joints, faulty check valves or filters, extrusion inconsistencies, and glue or solvent overspill.

✅ Leak Testing: Dry, filtered air is introduced into the device and held at a defined pressure for a set period. Any loss in pressure is measured to calculate the pressure decay or leak rate.
✅ Block Testing: Air is passed through the device at a controlled pressure. If the pressure rises too quickly, it indicates a blockage — and the device is automatically rejected.

All our production areas are equipped with comprehensive test systems to ensure every device meets the exceptional quality standards our customers expect.

From its origins 30 years ago, as a family business focused on an injection moulding, Meridian Medical now specialises in sterile and non-sterile medical device design, development and manufacture, producing unbranded devices, assemblies, kits and components for customers.
