Blooming Youth Club - week 2

***Now open to year 3 children as well as years 4-6***

We will be exploring how to grow in confidence and develop a stronger belief in ourselves and our abilities. As part of this, the children will plant seeds to take home and care for, watching them grow and flourish (hopefully!). This experience will help them understand the importance of looking after and nurturing themselves, so that they too can grow and thrive.

Wednesday at 5.15pm - 6.45pm
£8 for the session
Open to children in years 3-6

Session must be booked in advance.

If you’d like to know more or to book, get in touch.

I’ve been quite on my socials this weekend as I am in Wales at BCA Cymru clash 2026.
2 of my daughter compete in Cheer and Dance and I have just come off stage after competing with my team.
The nerves were high but I think I did well!
I hope everyone is having a good Sunday!

Friday Fact

Spending 20 minutes outside can significantly boost mood and lower anxiety levels.

As the days grow warmer, it’s a great time to embrace the benefits of being outdoors. Fresh air and natural light can improve focus, reduce stress, and support overall wellbeing. Take advantage of the season and make space to step outside — even a short break can make a difference.

The algorithm isn’t being kind to me!
If you see this post, please give me a little like and a comment - why not tell me what you are looking forward to this week?

I’m looking forward to going to a silent disco on Friday and then a weekend in Wales at a dance/cheer competition.

Self-Care Sunday

After a great workshop yesterday exploring self-care, meeting our basic needs, and building supportive habits, I’ve been reflecting on the small tweaks I can make to ensure the habits I practise are helpful.

Simple things like:
• Drinking enough water
• Moving my body in ways I genuinely enjoy
• Eating wholesome, nourishing foods
• Getting enough quality sleep
• Spending less time on screens

It’s often the small, consistent habits that shape how we feel day to day.

So for this week’s Self-Care Sunday, I’m asking: What’s one habit you could introduce (or adjust) that might create a positive shift in your wellbeing?

Small changes. Big impact.

20/02/2026

As of end of November 2025, there were about 550,610 children and young people on waiting lists for mental health support in England. Of these:
• 30% (about 165,887) had been waiting for more than two years.
• 53% (about 289,722) had been waiting for more than one year.

What is increasingly clear is that there are many children and young people quietly struggling, long before they ever make it onto a waiting list.

My aim is to ensure every child and young person can access early intervention, empowering them with the tools, confidence and strategies they need to nurture their wellbeing and protect their mental health.

I had the best afternoon with six lovely girls at our K-Pop Demon Hunters–inspired workshop

We created our very own Demon Hunter names, took part in a quiz all about building confidence — and every single one of them scored top marks.

We used watercolours to paint our “demons”, explored the powers we already have inside us, and filled the room with creativity and laughter. Add in snacks, fidgets and colouring, and it was a really good mix.

The biggest win? All six girls said they want to come back again — and that tells me everything I need to know 💜
There is still some space available on Saturdays workshop for aged 11+ - thinking about creating healthy habits. Get in touch if you’d like to know more.
