Iโve been a midwife in various settings, supporting mums and families through pregnancy, birth, and the early days.
Iโve also been an adult nurse in the NHS, working across adult wards, respiratory wards, and elderly care wards - supporting people with complex needs, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.
Along the way, I stepped into leadership as a Band 6 Sister/Nurse Manager, mentoring student nurses, newly qualified nurses, and junior colleagues, leading shifts, and supporting safe, high-quality care.
While doing all that, Iโve been quietly building The Village Nurse Ltd; a nurse-led support service focused on helping older adults and families feel safe, supported, and less alone at home.
Recently, I paused and used AI as a โbrand managerโ to look at my work from start to finish, not emotionally, but strategically.
And what became clear was this: Iโm not doing โmany random things.โ Iโm doing connected work.
Today, I can describe it clearly. My work sits at the intersection of:
