I am Debbie, a registered counsellor who takes an integrative approach to therapy. My practice integrates a variety of different theories and approaches, creating a bespoke program for each client. I am a member of NCS (National Counselling Society) and can offer sessions in a therapy room overlo
oking beautiful fields. The area is safe and comfortable and you can feel secure and supported enough to disclose anything in a confidential and non-judgemental environment. I work with the view that the client is the expert on their own needs and feelings so I work at a pace according to them. I am here to listen and to understand. It is of vital importance that a strong therapeutic connection is created between counsellor and client. I understand that beginning this journey can be nerve-racking and daunting but I can support and help to put new clients at ease. I work with women and children of all ages, have a diploma in therapeutic counselling, a creative therapies certificate and will soon be specialising in working with teenagers and children, although I have experience in all areas. I am happy to work with anyone no matter what the problem is. If you decide to work with me I can offer 50-minute sessions at a time that suits you, including can do some evenings and all day Friday. You can have as many or as few sessions as you wish and the amount you choose to have may change as we go on. Please feel free to text or call me with any questions. Hello I am Jade,
I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I abide by their Ethical Framework for good practice. I have obtained a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Creative therapies certificate, Grief & Bereavement counselling level 3 certificate and I am currently working towards my counselling children & adolescents level 4 certificate. I trained in Humanistic counselling as I found I liked this method because it sees the client as an individual, this is something I aim to do with all my clients. For this reason the sessions will be catered to how you want them to be. I do work with the Person Centred approach which means it is guided by you, not me and the therapeutic relationship between us is important. As well as these approaches I do incorporate Psychodynamic, TA, Gestalt and play therapy. I work in a safe, secure, confidential and non-judgemental environment. My job is to listen to you and along the way to bring in tools to help you. The pace of sessions are entirely up to you, there is rush or to feel you are expected to be ok after a few sessions. I can offer a 50 minute session once a week at the moment on Fridays and you can have as many sessions as you feel you want. I work with women and children from 10 years up. I have been working for a charity for the last few years and during this time have worked with a mixture of different areas such as;
Bullying, anxiety, depression, self-harm, bereavement, relationship issues, low self esteem, work stress & PTSD just to name a few. I can empathise that taking this first step can be a worrying, nerve racking or even an anxious feeling. Please know that I am here to support you and I would like to commend you for taking this first step. If you have any questions please message through our site, call or text.
