These 3 professional footballers have all suffered cardiac arrest whilst playing football.

This is horrific and traumatic not only for the player themselves but for the players on the pitch with them and anybody watching.

All 3 however were very lucky as the 1st responders reacted quickly to the situation and used a defibrillator which saved their lives. This shows the importance of having this vital equipment in the workplace.

I am very aware that not every workplace has doctors or paramedics on site, however a defibrillator can be used by anybody and studies have shown that if a defibrillator is applied within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest it can produce survival rates of 50% - 70% so it might just save someone’s life.
