We are absolutely delighted to welcome Clare Ellis to the Board of Trustees at Active Minds Day Centre CIC as our dedicated Fundraising Trustee.

Clare joins us at an important time in our journey. As our community continues to grow, so too does the need for sustainable funding that enables us to support vulnerable people living with dementia, isolation and complex life challenges — alongside the carers who give so much of themselves every single day.

Clare brings a wealth of experience, strategic insight and a deep understanding of fundraising and resource development. Her guidance will help strengthen our long-term sustainability, diversify our income streams, and ensure we can continue delivering the warm, home-from-home environment that so many families rely upon.

At Active Minds, we believe strong governance is the foundation of strong impact. Clare’s appointment reflects our commitment to building a skilled, forward-thinking Board that can help us grow responsibly, ethically and with purpose.

What an honour to share this, slightly delayed, but filled with gratitude.
I was privileged to be invited by Dr Sylvia Likambi to take part in the International Global Women’s Summit 2025 as a mentor on the panel. The entire experience was powerful, insightful, and truly uplifting. Being surrounded by so many phenomenal women, leaders, universities, and the inspiring Deputy Lieutenant Natalie Reeves was something I won’t forget.
To my complete shock, and deep humility, I received the Innovation and Impact Award, presented by Deputy Lieutenant Natalie Reeves herself. It was a moment that took my breath away and reminded me why this work matters so deeply.
The evening was incredible: fantastic food, vibrant entertainment, an electric atmosphere, and the best company one could ask for.
Thank you to everyone who nominated me for this award, your belief in me means more than you know. And a heartfelt thank you to Sylvia for creating such an empowering platform and for the opportunity to be part of it.
Huge congratulations to all the other award winners, what an inspiring group of women.
Here’s to continued impact, collaboration, and lifting each other higher. 💛✨

We’re delighted to share that Active Minds, in partnership with the Liverpool Carers Centre, will be hosting a free community workshop and awareness session – open to everyone in our community.

This event is designed to shine a light on the support available for individuals living with memory challenges, carers navigating daily pressures, and families seeking guidance. Our aim is simple: to make sure no one feels alone, confused, or unsupported.
