Meet Charlotte, our Sensory Integration Occupational Therapist (SIOT) and newest member of the Aroa Team!! 🙌

Charlotte has over 15 years experience in specialist schools, colleges and residential settings. She has a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy and is qualified as a Sensory Integration Practitioner. Charlotte is also in the process of completing a further Masters degree in Children’s Autism.

Charlotte can provide individual assessments, specialist interventions and personalised sensory plans, deliver and/or oversee sensory integration therapy, provide staff training, and support with the development of learning and sensory spaces.

Aroa Educational Psychology Service is expanding - and for the first time, we’re introducing Occupational Therapy into our team.

This is a rare opportunity for a Sensory Integration trained Occupational Therapist to co-create and shape how OT works alongside Educational Psychology.

We’re looking for someone with:

• HCPC registration and SI qualification
• Experience in schools or education settings
• A passion for collaborative, child-centred practice

EXCITING NEWS ‼️ we are looking to expand our team and our service offer with a SI trained Occupational Therapist - job post coming soon!

We are constantly seeing children in need of OT assessments, and work with school staff in need of OT advice and training - so we are aiming to provide this service in the new academic year!

Support in education is a vital legal right of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We ask the government to commit to maintaining the existing law, so that vulnerable children with SEND can access education and achieve their potential.

Huge Aroa celebrations today 🥂 at The Ivy!

As we come to the end of another amazing academic year, we are celebrating Aroa turning 3!! 🙌 With a new team member for the EPS - Brooke, and Rachel being with us for a year.😊

We’re also celebrating the start of our sister company Aroa Specialist Therapeutic Education Team - STET

A great opportunity for the whole team to get together and start to wind down for the summer! I’m so very grateful and proud to be part of a fantastic group of people!

It was my last meeting as Governor this week and I was given beautiful flowers as a ‘goodbye and thank you’.
This is from one of the most fantastic schools I’ve ever worked in - they are paving the way for what inclusive and nurturing education should look like!
Thankfully I still get to be their EP and continue working with all of their amazing staff and families!
Being a Governor has been hugely insightful about aspects of school I would never have otherwise been expose to, so I will forever be grateful for that experience!🙌
