**INTERNAL PORTERING OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE - OPEN TO BANK PORTERS & B2 HCAS**

Good afternoon all, we have a new block booking available for our Theatre Supplies team. The role will primarily be based at our Aintree site however may include occasional shifts at the Royal and Broadgreen.
Duties include moving cages and re-stocking shelves in theatres across the 3 sites. Staff may be required to work alone as well as in a team. An induction will be provided by the team and training will be provided.

*ROLE WILL INCLUDE MOVING AND HANDLING*

Shift times are Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm. The block booking will be for 3 weeks with the possibility of extension.

Important Notice: Catheter Safety and Infection Control
It has come to our attention that there has been an increase in incidents involving catheters being pierced. This practice is strictly against Trust policy and poses a significant infection control risk to patients.
Under no circumstances should catheters be pierced.
This action compromises patient safety and can lead to serious complications.
Please ensure that you are aware of and adhere to this policy immediately. Patient safety is our top priority, and compliance with infection prevention protocols is mandatory.

📌 IMPORTANT REMINDER – PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS ON THE WARDS 📌

We are re-emphasising the importance of maintaining professional standards across all our clinical areas. This applies to all staff across the trust.

Please ensure the following expectations are followed at all times:

🔹 No hoodies to be worn in clinical areas – these are not part of professional uniform.

🔹 No watches unless permitted by policy – please follow infection control guidance.

🔹 Do not sit on nurses' stations or touchdown bases – use appropriate chairs.

🔹 Mobile phones must not be used for personal browsing (e.g. social media, shopping, video sharing) during shift. Phones should only be used appropriately and must be put away when asked.

🔹 No meals or food (e.g. sandwiches, crisps, takeaways) at nurses' stations or touchdown areas.
Note: gifted sweets/chocolates are an exception.

🔹 All drinks must be in cups with lids – this is a safety measure to prevent burns or spills around patients.

We have staff drop-in sessions available to support or discuss any issues bank staff may have.

**TEMPORARY WARD RELOCATION**
Good afternoon everyone, as of tomorrow 30th July AUH Ward 22 will be reallocating to AUH Ward 24 temporarily. Please report here for your shifts. Ward 24 is based in the main tower block.

Shifts will still be booked to AUH Ward 22 however shifts will be based on Ward 24.

**BANK RN BLOCK BOOKING OPPORTUNITY - INTERNAL STAFF**
Good afternoon all!
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a 2 month block booking on our AUH Ward 28. This will start from the 28th July and run until the 21st September. This is a surgical ward. Airway trained staff preferred but not essential criteria. Airway training will be provided from CNS and ward team. Shift times and patterns vary - EARLY, LATE, LONG DAY & NGIHTS available.

**BANK NOTICE**

There has been a recurring issue highlighted with patient documentation being written up at fixed times (e.g. 08:00, 10:00, 12:00), rather than at the actual time care has been given. This includes multiple sets being written all at once — which can lead to inaccurate records and risk to patient safety.

• Please make sure patient charts are documented in real time; at the time they’re completed.

• Do not write in bulk .

• Accurate and timely documentation is essential for safe care and good practice.
