Poppy has been using convex bags now for just over a week but the bags seem to not agree with her skin. Whilst the initial soreness around her stoma is clearing up, the wider area of skin is itchy and red. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Skin still looking very sore this morning although slightly better than it was yesterday. Waiting on a call back from stoma nurse. Hopefully get my little lady sorted. She was very brave getting cleaned up. Thank you for all the advise on yesterdays post ❤️

Happy new year everyone 🥂🎉

Poppy hardly ever suffers with her stoma but sods law she has woke up today in agony. After taking her bag off she is red raw all around her stoma, it looks wet and she wont let me anywhere near to clean it which i know is going to make it worse. She has been sobbing her heart out. Ive called the hospital but stoma nurses not in with it being bank holiday. Other than letting her soak in the bath without her bag on, does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do to help this? Im going to sort her a product review as she is suffering from spreading under the base plate recently which im pretty sure is the cause of this. Its difficult with a child who also has autism as she is attached to the products she uses and any change is going to cause her distress but we have to do something if its going to start causing problems 😩
