🧡| This Girl Can |💜

Another fab session with these amazing girls! We had lots of laughs playing ‘snatch & go’ followed by ‘cone heads.’

To finish we played a new game ‘laser tag’ where the children had to grab cones and return them to their bases without being tagged by the laser!

Great teamwork as always and lovely to see new friendships being formed.

See you all next week! 🙌🏻

🫟| Arts and Crafts Club |🫟

Tonight we began the first part of this half term’s clay project - beaded hanging decorations.

Firstly we prepared our clay and pressed it into the desired shape. Next, we used a pencil to create a hole to thread our ribbon through once the clay is dried and to be able to hang our decoration.

Following this, we had lots of fun choosing our beads and creating wonderful patterns and designs by pressing them into the clay.

We will allow them time to dry and next week we begin part two - painting!! 🙌🏻🎨🫟

🤸| Gymnastics Club |🤸

Today it was all about headstands!

We worked in groups to work on our balance, strength, control and skill.

Using the soft hurdle the children were able to find the correct positioning and gradually build towards a full headstand.

Fantastic progress was made by all! Remember, these skills take time to master - the more you practice the better you will be. 🙌🏻

Welcome back to the best girl gang in Rainhill!

We had such fun at our first session back tonight - playing lots of fun team games to get the girls running about and working hard.

🫟| Foil Printing |🫟

At tonight’s Craft Club we had a go at foil printing!

The children worked really hard to create a whole spectrum of colourful prints using tin foil and coloured pens.

We are back for the summer half term! What a fab session we had today

We worked on our jumps, shapes, balance and technique using a variety of small and large apparatus.

✨💜| Girl Gang Spotlight |🧡✨

Last week at This Girl Can Club, one of our girl gang brought in her ‘inspiration board’ to share with the group.

How good is this?!?! We were blown away by the effort she had put into this piece of art and loved reading all of the inspirational quotes.

Our particular favourite was ‘My coach said I run like a girl and I said if he ran a little faster then he could too.’

I asked Liv where she got the idea to create this and her response was: ‘I was just feeling a bit down one day and I thought of printing out lots of motivational quotes and putting them together to cheer me up.’

I think all of the other girls would agree when I say - what an inspiration Liv is to us all. What an amazing idea! We will definitely be creating some of our own ‘inspiration boards’ at This Girl Can Club!

🐣| Easter Yoga Party |🐣

Thankyou to everyone who came along to our Easter Yoga Party today 🧡

We had SO much fun playing games, enjoying yoga, crafting and of course our very own Easter Egg Hunt!

We hope you all enjoyed yourselves!

🧡| This Girl Can |🩷

Today was the final TGC of the term and as always we finished with a craft activity.

The girls worked together on a piece of collaborative art (a GIANT Easter Doodle!!) to create a fabulous finished piece 🎨🩷

It has been heart warming to see the beautiful friendships blossom this half term and to witness girls of different ages come together to celebrate sport and being active.

We hope to see you all back in the summer term! ☀️

🐣| Arts & Crafts Club |🐣

Today the children created super cute Easter chicks!

Using paper plates, split pins, card, pens and stickers they each had the freedom to create their very own hatching chick.

How lovely are these designs?! 🐣🧡🐣🧡
