So you saw my recent post about pigmentation and freaked out asking, is it too late for my skin?

The good news is, with the growth in our knowledge of skin protection we also have growth in treatments for historic skin damage

Don’t worry I’ve got you! Even trusted me with her skin tone transformation (swipe) look closely to see how we’ve evened the skin overall, without bleaching

^ this is important!! The skin isn’t whitened overall with my pigmentation skincare plans, only pigmentation and uneven skin tone is removed ✅

These pigmentation results were achieved with at home medical grade skincare, prescribed by myself with an in depth skincare plan.

The same face, 4 months apart… when you look closely to compare her features, it’s hard to tell exactly what’s changed, but overall there’s no denying how vibrant she looks!

So I’ll tell you what we did…

We used a combination of medical grade skin care, polynucleotides to regenerate the skin cells and improve hydration, texture, firmness and also cheek filler and nose to mouth line filler to recontour and soften shadows that can create a more aged face.

Do you know if you have a “complicated” lip shape?

These M shaped lip case is a classic example of a slightly more complex natural lip shape, but why?

M-shaped lips can be more complicated to treat with dermal filler because of their distinct anatomy and contour, there are various things to consider such as:

Irregular volume distribution ⚖️

The central dip in the upper lip (the “M” shape) means volume tends to collect unevenly if filler isn’t placed carefully.

It’s easy to overfill the peaks (the sides of the “M”) while underfilling the central dip—or vice versa.

Risk of losing definition ✏️

One of the biggest aesthetic risks is flattening the Cupid’s bow, which can erase the natural shape and make the lip look artificial or bulky.

Delicate balance between projection and volume 🔑

M-shaped lips often lack central projection, especially when viewed in profile. Correcting this without making the lips look “duck-like” or stiff takes subtlety and experienced hands particularly in M shaped lip cases

Tension in the surrounding tissue i.e. Some patients have a tight philtrum (area between the nose and upper lip), which can resist central volume and push filler outward instead—again leading to an unnatural look. Plus asymmetries can be more prone and more obvious in these lips!

HOW DO I DO IT? 👇

I’m so pleased with this result!! My advice for approaching treating M shaped lips is simple…

I layer filler over multiple sessions… take your time!

I use a mix of techniques (I cover these in my upcoming masterclasses) DM for info.

Brush up on your anatomy. A deep understanding of lip anatomy and projection dynamics is essential!

JOWLS! How many times have you looks in the mirror and pulled up your face 🫣 we’re all guilty! Many people notice heaviness around the lower face as they age—softening jawlines, under-chin fullness, early jowls. What’s often misunderstood is that this isn’t just skin deep. I still can’t believe 2 years ago I came to ACE feeling awkward, nervous and out of place - I didn’t know anyone and never thought 2 years later I’d be hosting talks, meeting up with colleagues I admire and then heading onto the Aesthetics Awards 2025 celebrating with old and new friends 🫶 feeling surrounded by people who inspire me so I know I’m on the right path 🙏
